  1. Now South Korea has lost one of their own to the Taliban, South Korea should immediately offer 5,000 combat soldiers in addition to the 200 that are already on the ground in Afghanistan.

maz’s citation shows the lose-lose situation re the citoyen and his level of knowledge re adscam:
if he ‘knew notink, notink!!!’ then he is incompetant to have missed such a huge outlay of cash right under his nose, or,
if he knew about it then he is a &%%&&%# CROOK like all the rest of the lieberals who knew and did nothing or worse, engaged in the scam.
same goes for paul martin who is on record as not knowing a titch despite being finance minister.

  6. @jhuck:
The recent trouble that W. Kinsella has visited upon himself flows from a typical liberal bigotry – actually, a sort of classism (to use PC terminology.) The relevant assumption is: “some laws are put in place to control the scuzzy right wing; us liberals are above ’em.” It’s not dissimilar to the “I’m a big taxpayer; so much for your steenkin’ speeding ticket” attitude amongst certain members of the upper middle class.
A skilled conservative activist can actually use this bourgeois attitude to encourage Warrens to embarrass themselves, through what could be called “misleading by pseudo-example.” (Of course, anyone who does so will raise up a squawk about “right wing baiters” that’ll be market-tested to the NDP circuit…)
