Suckered by a spamming spyware harboring site…..

Correct me if I’m mistaken, but it would appear to me upon cursory perusal that the links returned by searches at the referenced site are often oriented toward finding material published in violation of copyright law. While it is not my intention to indulge in the perpetration of interminable dissertations of periphrastic circumlocution thereto, be aware that there is a moral dimension to this situation.
Also remember that even if we eschew the philosophical, there is also a pragmatic matter. The referenced site provides a kind of map. Just remember that maps can show you how to get to the bad parts of town too. Please, be aware when surfing questionable content. You will be judged by the character of those you volitionally associate with.

Payback for every crappy LP, cassette and CD I wasted hard earned money on! Thank-you in spades!

Feel like it’s a crime? Not in Canada. Has anyone ever bought a blank CD in Canada? Do you remember the price on the shelf doubling or even tripling at the counter? That’s the surcharge you pay that goes directly to artists/record companies as compensation for pirating. Seems to me that if I pay a surcharge, I’m allowed to download. More to the point, I use CDs for data yet I still get hit with the surcharge. Please excuse me for not crying a river for the poor record companies and their lost revenues.
Fairly limited…not too many entries for Zappa or Roy Buchanan…meh!
Amusingly, that particular ABC columnist is the fifteen year old son of the real ABC columnist…proving that the world belongs to the young and there is SFA old guys can do about it.
