Why this blog?
Until this moment I have been forced to listen while media and politicians alike have told me "what Canadians think". In all that time they never once asked.
This is just the voice of an ordinary Canadian yelling back at the radio -
"You don't speak for me."

‘turn the other cheek’
I thought about that one for years and have come to the conclusion it assuredly does NOT espouse the wimpy pacifism practised by so-called ‘tolerant’ kariiiistians of the namby pamby left.
it was advice by Christ to the people of biblical times to avoid violence. the reason? they lacked the means to treat injuries sustained from that violence. even the ‘good guy’ would pay dearly with life-long injury and disability from wounds sustained in conflict, or death from infection.
THEY DIDNT HAVE THE MEDICAL CARE TO HANDLE THE CONSEQUENCES OF CONFLICT.
ergo, in a time when everyone KNEW this, best to deescalate situations by showing the other party you were not going to attack them.
it WASNT an invitation for them to take another whack at you, it was a way of preventing social and political mayhem when things spiral out of control.
it doesnt apply today; the inhibition doesnt seem to exist anymore.
Ive got a plaque on my office wall with a peace symbol and caption:
“Im a pacifist.
emphasis on the FIST part for those prone to making any miscalculations about my capabilities and true nature”
note matt 5:9, blessed are the peaceMAKERS. it doesnt say peace’keepers’, it says peaceMAKERS.
a peaceMAKER is the one who wades into the conflict and will kill hundreds of the invading horde with a clear conscience and then when the ‘message’ has been sent to the agressor and an example made of them, then the warriors return to their shops and offices and factories and get on with their life.
the problem with islam is THEY are the agressor as directed by their badly flawed holy book.
this is why I unconditionally and fully support the position of the Israelis to defend their homeland with many and diverse means. and so what if the go overboard a time or two, it happens in the face of such a ‘wall’ of HATE from the arabs who indoctrinate their kids from the time they can talk to hate jews.
God bless the american taxpayer and the Israeli people and all peacemakers.
An editorial in the National Post today describes what is going on in Canadian politics and specifically within the Liberal Party. It would appear that the election of Stephane Dion at the convention was orchestrated by radical elements of various ethno-cultures in the Liberal Party.
“The majority view is that Harper overplayed his hand last Wednesday. Speaking during Question Period, he implied that Stephane Dion was forcing his caucus to oppose the extension of two provisions of the 2001 Anti-Terrorism Act — one of which permits officials to compel witnesses to appear before the Air India investigation — in order to protect the family of an MP whose support was critical to Dion’s victory at December’s Liberal leadership convention in Montreal. Bains looked wounded, and the Liberals made a great show of comforting him for the press gallery.
But Harper may prove the long-run winner. Even if Bains’ father-in-law has nothing to do with Dion’s decision to oppose national security legislation that his own party drafted just five years ago, there is little doubt that certain ethnopolitical special interests are calling the shots here. Among veteran Liberal insiders, it is believed that the several hundred Sikh convention delegates Bains and his allies led into the Dion camp (via Gerard Kennedy) came with a price: an end to the investigative powers contained in the Anti-Terrorism Act, which was opposed for predictable reasons by various Sikh, Tamil and Muslim organizations.”
See Nationalpost.com, editorials.
Yes, it’s an extremely important column by Jonathan Kay in today’s National Post.
He’s essentially saying that the policies of the Liberal party are not for the benefit of Canadians but for the benefit of the Liberal Party. Remember, the Liberal Party has one and only one agenda. Winning. That’s all. This is clear in the actions and statements of both Dion and Chretien.
Kay points out that the Liberal Party has always operated within ethno-politics, ie, an agenda of gathering votes by special deals with ethnic agendas – or with any special agendas. For example, the useless and expensive gun registry was aimed, not at preventing violence, but buying feminist votes.
Kay points out that the ‘several hundred Sikh convention delegates’ brought to the Liberal leadership by Bains (for Kennedy and then, as per previous planning by Dion and Kennedy, they moved to Dion) ..these delegates had a price – “an end to the investigative powers contained in the anti-Terrorism Act”. So, Dion is now paying them for their votes at the leadership convention.
Dion isn’t interested in the welfare of Canada or Canadians. He’s interested in only one thing – winning. If he has to purchase this goal by deals with various special interest groups – that is exactly what he will do.

The so called religion of peace act so crazy and unbalanced
I have been away & just catchng up, I just read an article in the Toronto Sun by Licia Corbella of the Calgary Sun: THOUSANDS Say Terrorist Attack on us(Canada) OK: Poll
On feb13 the cbc published & aired the results of an Environics Poll Billed as “Glad to be Canadian Muslims say” However as usual the CBC did not report the whole story Licia Corbella discovered & Simply astonishing 49,000 Canadian Muslims believe conducting a terrorist attack on canada is Justified. Attacking in their own country is justified!! WTF this is insane.
& whats happening today?? the vote on the anti-terror act THAT DION WANTS TO DEFEAT.
Read this astounding & Shocking article at liciacorbella@calgarysun.com
appeared in toronto sun Sunday feb.25/07 page C4/C5
Sarge, what a creep you are, and you know nothing of history. And you think the Israelis use force because they are BORED ???
yo, ‘sarge’ Utah is pretty much mormon turf.
pick up a gps locator and get back to us on that eh?
Ive got a maple leaf flag, a stars & stripes and a star of david in my living room.
nuff said.
Actually Sarge: Isreal as the homeland of the Jews predates Islam by many many centuries. If we are to get into a historic arguement of who came first, the Jews win hands down over the Muslims. The Jews are in their traditional homeland, a homeland that can be achaeologically dated back thousands of years … Islam goes back only about 1400 years. Muslims are newbies on that block.
Bryan R: Can you get us the proper url for that article?
Paul: calgarysun.ca will get you the article. Go to comments on left side of page. Lisa Corbella, feb 25 might still be highlighted, if not click on her latest column and read previous article. It is there. Also read Neil Waugh and Paul Jackson’s latest remarks, both taking suzuki to task and reporting our Premier has basically told suzuki to go to hell. suzuki did not make a good impression in AB and really gets blasted for the way he talked to elementary students and taking 825.00 from them.
That’s a good point. Uncivilized Muslim murder and mayhem does seem to be the standard practice, so the Muslims who speak out against all the killing are the real ‘radicals’.
