Saad’s Retort to Peterson’s Tweet

  1. I disagree with Peterson on this. Withdrawing would only give Kavanaugh’s enemies exactly what they wanted.

    1. Sid V : You Da Guy!

      Ah ha ha ha, heheheheheheh!
      I still have tears!
Tell me…is that fake or real German?
And… this was shown here before with another text, the timing is perfect…and the acting … is great too. What was It? It was fun too!

Thanks for making my day, may you have a great one too!
Now I have to go laugh some more! Heh, heh, heh! I need tissues.

  2. Has Jordan Peterson been hacked ??? Can’t believe he would take such a position ……

  3. Everyone is human and will make at least one call wrong.
Petersen was providing possible outcomes, his mistake was the presumption of their “moralizing”.
They are not using a moral compass to determine right or wrong. They used a political determination that because he was nominated by Trump that they had the authority to use any means neccessary to stop Kavanaugh from being confirmed.
Every action after November 2015 has as its basis, undermining the current POTUS. There is no other reason, and this movement is not restricted to the continental US.
Even the current government of Canada is being guided by this reasoning.

    1. Joseph, this sort of thing has been going on since Nov 22 1963, it’s just more in the open now, And Kennedy was a bi-partisan hit, which the swamp still covers up today.

      1. “Kennedy was a bi-partisan hit”

He sure pissed off Southern Democrats, the mob, and free Cubans, all of whom were active in his demise. I don’t doubt that Swamp Republicans were in the cheering section.

      2. JFK was murdered by a Communist named Lee Harvey Oswald. It is a measure of the influence of the “ progressive” left /Communists that they have so many people doubting that.

        1. really?

howcum the bullet fragments in Connolly’s shoulder area were not respectfully extracted when he died and examined against other evidence? apparently the fambly did not give ‘permission’.
          https://www.washingtonpost.com/archive/politics/1993/06/18/connally-takes-bullet-pieces-to-grave/1cab4644-c1be-4499-8d85-ed3bae858d17/?noredirect=on&utm_term=.32375ddb43cc

permission? since when is THAT the determining factor in the biggest murder investigation of the 20th century?
get a friggin WARRANT to retrieve the evidence asswipes.

          ‘permission’. BULLSHIT

    2. Peterson’s failing here is that he assumes a modicum of decency to the ‘opposition’. He is wrong. They have none. Read Rules for Radicals to understand the left’s take-no-prisoners style of activism. They are ruthless and nasty in fighting to get their way. They see all compromise as weakness not decency.

  4. If Kavanaugh quit it would only embolden the left to continue because they would know their lies get results. The best thing to happen to Kavanaugh was Avenatti uncovering the rape train. That turned the event from the sublime to the ridiculous and left a lot of “normal” Democrats uncomfortable. Even CNN wrote a nice article about Trump and that’s not supposed to happen.

  5. effectively deprive his more radical opponents of their selfrighteous moralism

WTF The exact opposite, they would have taste blood and go a-hunting more, righteous in their victory.

  6. You can call this a Pyrrhic victory.

Democrats have caused serious damage to the brand that is the USA.
These things happened in the banana republics a lot, perhaps ever so slightly less today.

There is a saying that friendship is a golden bond, sometime it breaks, it can be tied with a knot though the knot will remain.

The knot is the operative word.

    1. Lev, well said, and I may use that in the future, as I’v said the same for years, just not as well as you just did

  7. I agree, it would have been a mistake for Kavanaugh to withdraw. The unprovable attack on him violated people’s sense of fairness. If he had not prevailed, the extreme left would be emboldened to do this over and over again — they may any way, but the right strategy is to stand up to the bully.

  8. OBVIOUSLY Peterson is wrong, if in fact (if you’ll excuse my digital paranoia) that was his tweet. The first rule of bullying: you fight back, hard. It’s also the 2nd and 3rd rule as well.

My current thinking is that the progressives may have got their panties in a knot over naught. According to a comment at Gates of Vienna under the video about the new SCOTUS era, Kavanaugh agreed with justice Roberts that Obamacare was a tax. He, therefore, would presumably have voted for the monstrosity.

ALSO, that R senator from Maine: if you listen carefully she seems to be soothing progressives. He is apparently on board for same sex marriage and — not sure of this — may have been on board for forcing the baking of a queer marriage (queer being now politically correct language, LOL) cake.

  9. Idiot doesn’t get it. This is not a single battle. It is part of a much larger campaign. When you take a beach at Normandy you don’t pull back. You keep going. You don’t stop. No matter how tired you get, you know the enemy is even more tired because you have been taking it to them. You fight day after day after day all the way to the Gates of Brandenburg and when you get there you burn it down. I am looking forward to Ruth Bader Ginsburg achieving room temperature. The next fight will be bigger, better and that much more satisfying.

    1. Peterson might be a lot of things and while I agree that he is wrong about this, he is hardly an idiot.

    2. I have taken to calling President Trump, President Tony Soprano. I totally agree about bullies, you must take them out at the beginning, whether it is physical or sneaky. President Trump did that with Rod Rosenstein (remember about 2 weeks ago, the LSM was saying that Trump was going to fire him or Rosenstein was going to resign. Neither happened. I think Trump told Rosenstein “you made the mess, you clean it up. You do NOT get to resign and walk away!”

  10. I have to agree with most everyone above.

Peterson seems somewhat oblivious that we all just witnessed the Dems and GOP wage one of the bloodiest battles ever fought in this new Ideological World War. Trump and the wishy-washy GOP, without a doubt the ‘good guys’ here, finally united to defeat a common enemy and Peterson just wants them to refuse this monumental blow to Progressivism? He wants Kavanaugh to NOT act like he has earned his stellar reputation back and deserves the seat as much as any other Justice?

Kavanaugh should rest easy knowing that Ford’s own testimony itself is what proved his innocence. Leftarded activists are the only ones left that cannot except this. BTW, I caught some video somewhere of a group of anti-Kavanaugh activists in DC loudly repeating back the instructions they were being given by their leader, as he was giving them. It sounded uncannily like the ‘chanting’ by the flock way back when I went to Sunday mass. TDS is truly a mentally disabling disorder.

Anyways, I suspect the Senate Committee may be sitting on enough evidence to warrant at least further investigation into criminal activity by the Dems and their team. Throughout the Dems BS howls of ‘We need more FBI investigation!’, they never, ever did release Ford’s psychiatrist’s notes… and others… that are still being demanded. Also, newer allegations about Ford’s ex-FBI buddy’s dubious actions in this have yet to be explored. Pressuring federal witnesses would be a good place to start a fresh investigation on these clowns. Kavanaugh deserves every effort to fully restore his good name and Americans deserve some good ol’ justice.

  11. Perhaps Peterson takes an analogy from the movie High Noon.

    Apparently he modified his position.

    1. … and risk the harpys screaming … “you’re blaming the victim!” … “That’s exactly WHY so many women refuse to come forward with their charges of sexual “abuse”.

Me? It’s worth the risk, if only to dissuade ONE more LIAR from trying to RUIN an innocent man’s life. You know … like the same argument used against the death penalty. And make no mistake … these FALSE charges are a DEATH PENALTY for men’s lives.

  12. Yup CO, as I’v said else were, this is a well organized lefty hit operation. 2 door Ford’s X fbi friend , Monica, was Ford’s controller, and that is why she and Ford were both lawyered up with Dem swamp lawyers

  13. So Peterson can be wrong? Who can’t? I agree his position on this one is incorrect. Trump is teaching us how to fight back against leftist bullying. Saad, however, right or wrong, puts me to sleep after about two minutes of blinking and rambling.

  14. Hmmm…..ZERO Evidence after the might of the DNC Quartrbacked by HildeBeast and company Hounded Kavanaugh for Weeks. And now, after being Finally Vindicated & Nominated, one of my Canadian Hero’s is saying to back/step down in the face of Classic Bullying..??? SAY it aint so.!!

…but by withdrawing he could effectively deprive his more radical opponents of their selfrighteous moralism…

TOTALLY WRONG Jordan….Walking away would do nothing less than embolden, strengthen & compleltely vindicate the Methods and Actions of those screeching Feminists & associated DEMONcrat gutter filth that started this BS Inquisition.

Appeasment – backing down – allowing oneself to be bullied – apologizing worked Oh So well for the 6Million that went thru the death kamps didn’t it….??

Sorry Jordan…you are 100% DEAD wrong on this one.

    1. Agreed. And I must admit I have been WARNED (here … by some), that JP isn’t everything we think he is. And did I hear right? That he labeled Kavanaugh as “divisive”? If following the US Constitution is “divisive” … then let ALL the SCOTUS Justices be “divisive”.

I cannot help but believe JP is tacitly defending … the Psychology Community. That he is defending the crap therapy and therapists who (reportedly) spawned this whole sordid affair. To imagine Dr. Peterson DEFENDING this ACT… this PERFORMANCE … of mousy-lingual “help me!” ovamony (see what I did there?) is shocking. I think he is riding to the rescue of his fellow Psychologists and their ephemeral, make-believe, profession.

  15. Ford’s flimsy opportune conveniently withheld until the last second accusation against Kavanaugh is less water tight than the Titanic post iceberg. As much as I like and respect Mr Peterson he’s being wilfully blind here. A Kavanaugh step down would be a surrender to the communist globalists who are actively subverting American culture and politics as we speak. Nothing would be gained and much would be lost.

  16. I am pretty sure Peterson did not step down from his professorship because of gender pronouns. Gotta agree with Saad on this one. You don’t step down from adversity if you’re not at fault. Ever.

  17. I wonder if I would make as much money as Jordan Peterson if I published my own Philosophy of Life…..
“If nobody bullshitted (bullshat) anybody, and always told the truth, even if it hurt, there would be no problems.THAT MEANS NEVER TELL A LIE!. (That includes governments.) Also, get rid of all religions…god is inside all of us…we don’t need any organized, fucking religions to tell us what to do and how to live. And treat everybody else like we ourselves would like to be treated. And don’t be impressed if other people have more shit than we have. Shit does not cause happiness. WORK HARD. (Especially if you want more shit! ) Oh, and always eat dessert before the main course! There, that should cover it. And, of course, READ A FUCKING BOOK!!!”
(My son-in-law calls me Dali Mama.)

  18. The Kavanaugh Incident has done enormous damage to the left.

It has completely exposed their totalitarian nature and instincts.

For the first time in American history at the very top of the progressive elites – the senate and the media – we have seen that they will abandon the most basic of western legal morals – the right to due process and innocent until proven guilty. Their reasons for doing this – power grab – using abortion as the driver et al are irrelevant. It is the fact that they would do this in as extreme and as public a manner that is.

And rightly so many moderates in the Democratic party – not mention independents and the GOP were shocked by it. (did anyone ever imagine the ACLU – left wing though it may be – coming out in favour of trampling an accused’s right to due process?)

The Stalinist term “show trial” is apt. What we have witnessed is an attempt to Stalinize the American judicial appointment process. Is it not conceivable that the left will try these same tactics on lower court appointments?

And had they been successful in ejecting Kavanaugh would the criteria for all future SCOTUS appointments be changed forever where any nominee that did not kowtow to the Leftist litmus tests would be runoff by the threat of being Kavanaughed? This is where Mr. Peterson reveals his naiveté on the American political system.

Conquering the judiciary is the final step in the left’s totalitarian quest. Once achieved any legislation that they find objectionable can simply be nullified by the Stalinist court. And there would be no turning back. And there, dear readers, lie the Gulags.

So Judge Kavanaugh and his allies have won a great victory.

    1. Yet … we hung on by our fingernails. The narrowest of margins. And public opinion remains split 50-50 suggesting half the public would be thrilled to turn America into a Stalinist State (just so long as the other side gets starved to death -First … before THEY get starved to death or otherwise disappeared).

  19. Peterson’s not a politican. This is politics- a blood sport.
There is payback involved, vendettas, up yours and long term vision at play here.
I know Peterson understands all this crap but again, he is not a politico. The game at this level is literally life/death.

  20. This method of attack by Democrats and their Media partners was about more than just Kavanaugh, IMO.

Democrats are really good at looking forward and having long term goals. What they’re looking forward to now, isn’t so pleasant for them, because what they’re seeing, is it’s very unlikely they will win control of the Senate,. What they also see is that the old hanger on, RBG could very well give up her seat within the next two years(whether she wants to or not).

They really needed this method of attack to work, not just for Kavanaugh, but for Ginsburg’s seat too. They needed to mount so much pressure that Kavanaugh would step down, or that Trump would abandon him, or that the Republican Senate would. But also that future Trump choices would be hesitant to be seated as well.
Now that it’s failed, they have nothing.

    1. I disagree; there is always Arkancide. They will always have that, if they truly are committed to “by any means necessary”. Guys like Harold M. Ickes probably got mafia hitmen from all the major crime families in their contact lists.

Soros, Ickes, Clinton; the founders and leaders of the shadow party.

  21. Interesting…

No matter how smart you are, no matter how many times you are correct, sometimes you can still get one wrong.
Who could have suspected that? It is like a corollary of the stuck clock theorem.
Also possible Peterson may not be saying what we thing he is saying.

“victory COULD be achieved by doing THIS” is similar to “victory could ONLY be achieved by doing this”.

I can see where mere speculation around something like this Kavanaugh sheet show could easily be misunderstood, quickly, and by smart people…

It is known that Peterson does engage in thought experiments.
“What if Kavanaugh was confirmed, and then he refused that confirmation; what would the outcome of that be? What would happen to the various parties?”

  22. It would be an unnecessarily extreme magnanimous gesture on Kavanaugh’s part. There’s other ways to make an attempt to bury the hatchet without expecting the new Justice to give up what I’d assume was the destination of his entire career path. Release a statement, make a tv apprearance, give a speech. Making a show of forgiveness and “judicial temperament” would be a near perfect contrast to the crazy hysteria of the protesters. If a small contingent of Rs join in, while others continue to express a righteous anger about the rule of law vs. mob rule, it might even help Republicans in the midterms with the centrists and voters in middle class suburbs.

Peterson occasionally goes overboard with his ideas. I think of them as his “women wearing lipstick” moments.

  23. Bottom line is that we are in a WAR…yet up here in Peoplekindistan, the Vast Majority of sops have already & unknowingly capitulated over the past 5-6 decades to Multi-Cult Diversity and every other incremental bit of Social Justice BS presented by the Left, taught by Academia & broadcast as the New Truth by the overtly marxist CBC/CTV cabal.

Oct 2019 we may see just how much…or not.

Back in PET’s 70’s-80’s, we used to call it “Social Engineering” didn’t we..??…. Looking back I see how badly we were fooled then by such a carefully crafted & benign phrase. Said campaign continuously championed by the Treasonous Trudeau Clan and their liberal Sheep.

    1. I’m sorry to disagree with you … but it can’t be Peoplekindistan. Nope. If those “people” can arbitrarily change gender … then SURELY they have the ability to transition SPECIES!! Calling a self-identifying transgendered Wolf-Xe … a “person” … “people” … is hugely offensive. The next step “forward” is to refer to the Province as Creaturefeatureistan …

Yep. It’s all become this absurd.

  24. Withdraw to where? How humiliating to not be confirmed after the horrors he went through … would it please the democrats and Jordan Peterson if Brett K. remained in his former judgeship if that is even an option? By withdrawing, doesn’t he become ‘tainted goods’?

Mr. Peterson, when you are in an existential battle for the future of your beloved culture, you don’t have the choice of ‘giving up’ and forgetting you ever had the nerve to expect to be treated with respect.

When you have submitted to the enemy you are owned. Excuse me … but F*ck that!

And remember, slaves don’t own guns.

  25. walk away from bullies? nah. for one thing, sometimes theres nowhere to walk away to.
    consider this:

    ************************************************************************

Is it right to kill a bully?

Bullies are hard wired to use violence, power and intimidate.
It is the only language, dialect and vernacular they know.
They do not bully to defend, or financial reasons.
Their exclusive motive is to see the immediate feedback of fear, anguish and sadness
on the face of their victim knowing THEY are the one who caused it.
Telling them this is hurtful encourages it.
It confirms in their mind that their actions had the desired effect.

What happens when you kill a bully to stop the abuse?
    – It works instantly.
    – It works every time.
    – It works completely.
    – It works permanently.

There is NO OTHER area of human endeavour that has such
    an astonishingly effective solution.
Nowhere in medicine, finance, engineering, politics, where there is
such a level of completeness to solving a problem.
Nowhere in the world for thousands of years.
It is like a ‘grand slam’.

Furthermore, when the victim kills the bully,
    – The bully stops abusing them (see above)
    – The bully stops abusing anyone else
    – Other bullycowards stop abusing that victim.
    – Other victims watch how it ‘played out’ and maybe
THEY will kill anyone bullying them. Is that a good thing?
Another ‘grand slam’. 2 of them.

Is there ANYTHING ELSE humans do that has such a remarkable solution to
    such a common a problem?
So is it right to kill a bully, especially when the authorities refuse to intervene, or even worse, if THEY are the source of the bullying? What is the solution in a world where some individuals’ priority in life is to cause unbearable misery in others?

    **********************************************************

I wrote this out of personal experience. A bully came at me in grade 7 to beat me up for no other reason he saw others do it.
my adrenal gland kicked in and I hit him in the head, on the ground, some 20 times or so.
    he hung himself soon after.
I killed a budding ‘boss from hell’ and remain proud of the fact I short circuited the terrible ripple effect that would have had on 100s of his future victims and their hapless families. (the ‘victims take it out on those closest’ thing).

TWO grand slams, not just one. two of them where none exist a-n-y-w-h-e-r-e else in the myriad problems we face.

  26. With this, you don’t quit, call time out, reach across the isle. You attack, attack, attack, relentless & with no mercy. Black Flag if you will….no prisoners. These scum attempted to bully people with “..it’s just a job interview, the normal innocent until proven guilty, don’t apply”.

Petersen’s ignoring his own advice: “never back down, never apologize”.

  27. This guy looks more like Judd Hirsch than Judd Hirsch does.
    What? No one sees this?

    Jordan who….?

  28. There’s been a lot of talk about Kavanaugh being closer to Roberts, than anyone else, on a number of issues. That may be true. But, it’s also tru that he’s a staunch originalist. In that vein, a SC Justice can be a Madisonian originalist, an Adams originalist, a Franklinist, or even a Jeffersonian. They are still originalists in that they view the Constitution in a manner they feel is closest to the vision of the founding father whom they are closest to in their outlook.
This is in direct contrast to Sotomayor or Ginsburg, neither of whom seem to have any affinities to the ideals and vision of the founders and framers.

  29. Any admission of guilt to the SJW crowd is like chum to sharks, and both react accordingly, Jordan.

    Never back down. Never apologise.

  30. Peterson’s original comment that caused this ruckus was in response to Eric Weinstein’s tweet on the topic which ended “…We need a genius healer we just don’t have.” To which Peterson chimed in, seemingly hoping to be the “genius healer” that could make everyone happy – in my estimation anyways. He’s been weakly trying to walk back the comment in a few tweets since, but those aren’t much better.

I believe hubris overcame him after all of the praise and accolations laid upon him in the past year or two. A very human fault to be sure, for which this massive admonishment has hopefully has slapped him back to reality, and to the realization that you should never give in to a lying mob. Kavanaugh worked hard and sacrificed through most of his adult life to get to the position he now (thankfully) holds… why in hell would he give that up to placate those who falsely, repeatedly, and provably assassinated his character in front of the entire world?

I hope Dr. Peterson finds his way back to thoughtful, intelligent and reasoned thinking again after this mess. He’s an incredibly smart man who we can all learn from, but sometimes the teacher needs to learn the occasional lesson himself.

  31. He was in a bad position. Personally, if it was me, I’d have been saying ‘I’m too old for this shit’ – but withdrawing would have done massive damage by showing the Progressive Left (and those on the Right that want to use the same tactics) that that sort of attack works.

In effect, he was sort of stuck with staying in there ‘for the good of the country’ – though a lifetime government appointment as reward at the end will certainly take the sting.

I don’t like Kavanaugh’s political stances but he seems to be a guy very set on *procedure* – he’s not going to approve (or overturn) anything solely to get his preferred outcome. And, in the end, that’s more important than how pro-liberty he is.

I’ll say that, so far, Trump seems to be 2-for-2 in picking good justices. With the lucky pick by Obama (Sotomayor, who is, I’m sure, far more pro-liberty and non-deferential to government, than he expected – unlike Kagan) .
