Biden also said that America has “the strongest alliance in all of America,” before correcting his claim to “all of history.”
The interview also saw Biden trail off a number of times, ending an assertion about being “on a slippery slope for war if we don’t do something about Ukraine” with “It’s just not gonna…anyway…,” according to TIME’s transcript.

Why it matters: With aides usually walking between Biden and journalists’ camera position outside the White House, the visual effect is to draw less attention to the 81-year-old’s halting and stiff gait.

The reality is that Israel has decided to retaliate, in my view with the goal of creating the maximum destabilization in Iran. Biden has no option but to go along, kicking and screaming. By temporizing and crisis managing, Joe gave up all strategic initiative.
In trying to have it both ways Biden got nothing. Now a wider war is inevitable. Blinken’s policy is in shambles. The failure was from the top. We need a new strategy. The old one is dead.
