  1. Did I see that right on CTV just now out of corner of my eye and almost out of earshot? Did the voters in Quebec just vote in an 18 year old girl as a Member of Parliament?!?

  2. With Ontario driving out manufacturing and jobs out by high taxes and regulations and electrical power costs, the squeezing we in the West are going to get to reward the East is going to make the NEP look like the Good Ol’ Days….I think GM closing down another line or two in the next couple of years and shifting manufacturing south.

  3. As a Dipper (before I grew up) I always said that the Libs run to the left and and govern to the right. Well, the truth is:
    Dippers want more government
    Conrvatives want less government.
    Liberals just want government.
I cant wait for the CBC to run stories upon stories about how brilliant Justin was.

  4. Was looking around at other places to live for the next 20 or so years, and came across this that sounded pretty good for Switzerland (that just did slide to the right in their election)
•if you apply for welfare benefits, you will lose your right to remain in Switzerland.

  5. Regarding Justin, I expect he will live up to to his high achievements. Already in his acceptance speech, he is being divisive by talking up muslim rights.

  6. Sunny Ways — oh also the War Measures Act — depends what mood we’re in. Cash, meet envelopes.

  7. Ding Dong the Witch is dead
    Which old witch?
    The harper witch
Ding dong the harper witch is dead!!!!!

  8. You better hurry up and pick a new straw man because what happens next is on the shiny pony unless you do.

  9. Craig Oliver just ended his career on CTV, went on and on about Harper being a liar, anti-muslim, anti-arab

  10. Well, looks like promising everything to everyone works. Except, when the LIVs figure out in 6 years that maybe the words were just empty promises, DUH!
And the John McCain election strategy is a classic failure.
Silver lining? Many nutter Dips went down including Pat Martin!
Now we get to see how well group hugs work with perpetually grievance groups……..not

  11. great song was played before and after Harper gave his speech, song by Collective Soul, Better Now. Listen to the lyrics. Greatest PM ever!

  12. The shortest sentence is scripture is this: “Jesus wept.” Well, tonight, I think it appropriate to shed a tear for our country. The self-congratulation among the non-productive classes is nothing new. Julius Caesar gained office by pandering to the populares. So we have a government now dedicated to fleecing the productive and handing it over to those non-productive who voted them in. Sigh………. it seems a wee bit wrong to me. But then, I’m a taxpayer, not a tax credit/welfare recipient.

  13. Wait until the libdipper brigade figure out there will be no mackenzie overpass. How many from the base voted libdipper? They’ll all be sitting in bumper to bumper traffic for another decade.

  14. The Liberals in government in Ontario. The Liberals in government in Ottawa. The NDP in government in Alberta. James has it bang on. No more excuses, no more stawmen. This is the best opportunity that you leftards have ever had. And if it doesn’t work, who will you idiots blame? The Liberals will be a byword curse for a generation after the fall-out of this cooperative stint. The word “Liberal” will be so radioactive that it will make plutonium half-life seem like a nano-second. You’ve just shot left-wing ideology in Canada in the heart and it will take a spell to fall over…..but it will, sure as s***. And the best part? You don’t even know it yet. You poor, sodden fool, LOL
Me? I’ve insulated myself against the inevitable decline. So have a lot of people on this blog. We’ll be munching on popcorn and passively watching the decline. Meanwhile, what bankrupt, dried up government program teat will you suck at with parched lips?

  15. Canadian voters wanted “change”, and now they’re going to get it — RIGHT. IN. THE. FACE.

  16. Yes, you heard that right. According to the coverage on either CBC or CTV — I think it was CTV — she actually turned 18 today, i.e. on election day. First day she could vote is the day she was elected.

  17. 4 years of bread and circuses.
Bring on the closures of the auto plants in the east and massive layoff in the energy sector. Look for subsidies to friends of the liberals, brown paper bags of cash and gargantuous debt. Just wait until the bond ratings come in and the looney drops and interest rate rise. George Soros sweeps in and buys out Canadian industry at pennies on the dollar. More mosques, more human rights complaints, more misery. More windmills will pollute the prairie countryside. It won’t just be Ontario with crippling utility costs. The gun registry will be up and running again and we’ll give away our sovereignty to the UN.
It was painful to watch the panel of Trudeau turd polishers on CTV. Rocking in their seats in anticipation of their collective orgasm. The media party has crowned their new monarch.
Suddenly I’m reminded of a Monty Python skit……
    King: “I’m your King”
Peasant: “Well I didn’t vote for you”

  18. Robert of Ottawa
Re: ”I cant wait for the CBC to run stories upon stories about how brilliant Justin was.”
    How brilliant Justin Trudeau WAS??
Has he already started to fade??
The truth is that it’s payback time! It all started in Moncton, NB on Friday, July 03-2009, shortly after Mr. Harper’s 2008 election, when the CBC went after him for an alleged blunder he made at the Catholic funeral of former Governor General Romeo Leblanc. Mr. Harper accepted communion after being advised to do so my a member of his staff who had obviously not done his research on protocol. In spite of the fact that the Archbishop of Moncton exonerated Mr. Harper for any wrongdoing by publicly stating that the PM had not been disrespectful, the paid for by our taxes CBC went after the PM time and again and with both barrels.
After that, the CBC was on the Harper government’s case at every opportunity. It seemed at the time that CTV was a tad more sympathetic to the PM and the CPC, but that soon changed. No later than tonight, we have to seek retribution!
For example, why did Justin Trudeau cover up the break-in at his home in Ottawa on Aug. 16, 2014 where an intruder entered the home while Trudeau’s wife and kids were asleep? Why would someone leave butcher knives in a circle along with a note if he or she meant no harm?? And why did none of the mainstream media sources inform their readers and viewers that Trudeau was at a gay parade in Winnipeg when all this happened?
I don’t know if Harper will have resigned by the time the next parliament sits! However if we want to win the next federal election, we have to lower Trudeau in the polls! That’s what they did to Mr. Harper and company! So let’s get at er!! Let’s make it our goal to have Trudeau down in the polls by Boxing Day!

  19. Yup, typical island, they just cant vote for anyone but the dipwads. Victorians like sitting in traffic. At some point in the future, the Magic Bus will come along, Lisa ‘Mugwump!’ Helps will be the driver, but its only destination will be her homeless shelter at Topaz Park

  20. You know what the best part of this election is as a Christian man?
    It. Means. Nothing.
God has given the country the gov’t it deserves as judgment. You can only kill so many babies and sanction the Culture of Death for so long before He lifts His hand.
If you’re one of the Faithful, become even closer with your church community. End all donations to anything that isn’t connected to your church. No United Way, no UNICEF, nothing. If your church doesn’t donate your offering to it, neither do you. Boycott entire ridings. If you live in a Liberal riding that used to be Conservative, boycott the businesses there and shop elsewhere. Why support those who want nothing to do with you?
On the plus side, Christianity is about to get much stronger. Nothing like leaders who hate you to purify the Faith.

  21. On another note, Trudopes speech reminded of a sunday morning sermon. Liberal fanboys elected their High Priest of Political correctness.
    Co -Exist, anybody?
Politics is indeed the religion of the soulless left

  22. Very true. And as sorry as I am for what is in store for Canada, I wonder what it is like for Netanyahu today.
I did my research on the Muslim groups Trudeau has befriended recently and they all had links to terrorist groups which means, of course, they are anti-Israel.
Was it just a couple of weeks ago that we were proud of Canada and its position in the world? Could we lose all that has been built up under Harper in just one election?
    It’s beyond comprehension.

  27. For at least the first term they will blame everything bad on Harper, until the progressives forget who he was, kinda like for 6 years in the USA it was ALL Bush’s fault.

  28. Bush will be blamed for everything forever. That’s not going away and neither is HDS. Next election it’ll be Harper this Harper that. The next one after that and so on.

  30. Well, it looks like the liberal chickens are comming home to rest already. The electionm gods are already punishing Toronto for voting for Turdeau. Jays are now loosing 9-1.
I laughed when the Jays were described as “Canada’s team”.They may be Canada’s ONLY team but not Canadas team to me.
