Today at my morning swim not a single person was wearing a mask in line or going through the building. Last week everyone had one. Nice to see everyone’s face again. A few older folks were still wearing them at the grocery store and gas station yesterday but that’s about it. I suspect things will return to normal fairly quickly around here.

People have not forgotten that, throughout the pandemic, it was the NDP who constantly sniped at the government for not going into full lockdown mode. Now that would really help small business wouldn’t it? Saskatchewanians also remember the dark days of NDP rule when the only place you could purchase wine and spirits was at the government owned and operated liquor stores featuring surly unionized employees, banker’s hours and limited product selection. The NDP predicted an epidemic of drunk driving, underage drinking, domestic violence, family breakups and total mayhem. The best move for the NDP would be for its leader to instruct his tiny caucus to refrain from running their mouths at every perceived opportunity. One guy yesterday was still working out with his giant mask and glasses fogged completely over but I’m thinking he’ll see the light one of these days.
