   Kobe never answered in any meaningful way for his own outrages, and, presumably, died unrepentant. He’s had his reward, in full. There is no point pretending to ignore what everyone knows is so.

   But presumably the mainstream media were glad of a distraction from the impeachment farce—and his bereaved widow is glad to be spared the risk of being finally put out with the trash when her daughters leave the nest.

   I actually half expected WaPo to suggest that Kobe’s death was somehow Donald Trump’s fault.
