2019 Election Results Thread

We were storm-stayed in South Dakota last evening and so will likely be on the road still as results begin to come in. You’ll be in charge here unless Robert or one of the other guest bloggers has a chance to take over.

UPDATE: Projected Liberal Minority, with the BQ in the drivers seat and Singh riding shotgun. Singh in the driver’s seat.

Bring on our referendum.

The Rebel Election Desk is here. Be sure to chip in to support them.

A clunky election map at Macleans. (h/t clipe)

8:47pm Sask time and Filibuster Ralphie is running 600 votes behind Conservative Michael Kram.

LOL… it appears that Andrew Scheer is winning the popular vote.

Succinct.

So many issues left on the table. Vivian Krause spells it out.

Heh.

  1. We are going to need more than that – Google, Apple, FAcebook, Twitter are all aligned to push the vote toward Trudeau as they were in 2015. We know they can move the bar by 5% by manipulating search results. Facebook will send out reminders to leftys to vote as well.

        1. They also died to give him the right not to vote.

It’s debatable if they died to give him the right to be a retard though. He might have seized that one all for himself.

        2. Anyone who pays the exorbitant taxes in Canada has the right to complain. I have wasted my vote for decades being outnumbered by moron socialist in this country, this was my last wasted freaking vote. Stuff that don’t vote cr=p where the sun don’t shine.

      1. In a democracy you have the right to vote. You also have the right not to vote.

The bullshit statement that because you chose not to vote you have nothing to say is just that. Bullshit.

I participate in the economy just like you do. Pay my taxes. I have just as much right to bitch as you do. Your vote didn’t decide the outcome of the election anymore than my staying at home.

    1. The Libs were always expected to sweep or nearly sweep Nfld. What you want to look at is the relative vote percentages compared to 2015.

  2. So far some Nfld ridings are looking closer than in 2015. But it’s too early to really say.

  3. I’m sure everyone has already seen this. Still…
Voters turned away at some Ottawa polling stations
    https://ottawa.ctvnews.ca/voters-turned-away-at-some-ottawa-polling-stations-1.4647807

money quote: “It’s a close election, it’s up for grabs everywhere. It’s a tight election in Centretown.”
and yet at nearly 11:00 AM in Ottawa…
“The deputy returning officer had not shown up yet.” so the poll remained closed

Stinks. Fishy Fishy FISHY –election is up for grabs, it’s tight, and yet they cannot find people to man the polls for a Monday election?

    1. Not enough turned away to make any difference!, whatsoever. We are stuck with that embarrasing Ass-hole representing us at the next G-7 or G-8 meeting down south.
It is TIME for the UDI.
      NOW!

  4. This is the one election where I hope they all lose. I will draw great pleasure watching either Trudeau or Scheer lose. I can not believe the party I have supported for so many years chose Tweedle Dumpling as leader thinking well at least he isn’t Tweedle Dumb. He is not Tweedle Dumb but he has let Tweedle Dumb remain tied or ahead in the polls. What does it say of the guy who would be PM to lose the most winnable election in Canadian history. What does it say of Canada if Trudeau is re-elected…… Time for Alberta Independence. Canada’s ‘conquered territory’ Alberta and Saskatchewan need to find their own way forward and leave the creaking empire of the Canadas to fall apart on its own.

    1. ” What does it say of Canada if Trudeau is re-elected……” It says buying the media is a great way to swing the vote in your favour.

      1. Don’t blame the media. If people reelect Trudeau they will reap what they sow. Time for an UDI on the West’s part.

      2. Trudeau did not need to buy the media. They have been rooting unashamedly for him for years. They live in their own bubble, and were already locked into groupthink.
        Wasted money.

    2. Scheer, those who elected him as leader and have been advising him since, all suck! Why on earth would they think they should do the same thing Harper did and lost to sock boy? Maybe because they are the same people? I am so disgusted. Not surprised but very ill. Thank God for Kenney, hope he isn’t too much of a Federalist. There were so many things Scheer could have done to turn this around. I still say he didn’t want to win.

  5. Well, I literally just got home from voting.

I cast my one precious vote for my local PPC candidate, the only moral choice I found I could live with here in the interior of BC.

You know, since well before this election, I have never been shy about expressing my personal contempt, disgust and distrust of Andrew Scheer and his embarrassingly weak performance as opposition leader. Yet, through years of criticizing him here, I NEVER ONCE attacked anyone for planning to vote for him. But in return, especially since the writ was dropped, I have had Scheer supporter after Scheer supporter on this site attack and insult me and like-minded others for not ‘towing the CPC line’ and falling in-step with their wants. Disgusting way to treat supposed fellow-conservatives.

So, to all those who regularly attacked us Bernier supporters for following our heads and hearts and daring to denounce the scary Lib-lite CPC, to all those who regularly insulted Max supporters for just being Max supporters, I have a very important message to share with you… F*ck right Off!!!

But, after saying that, I also want to thank you. For you see, it was some of SDA’s regular Scheer-ites’ outstanding imitations of hateful leftards that ultimately convinced me of how right I was all along. So, thanks for inspiring me, and I am sure others here, to step forward and cast a vote for the only authentic federal Conservative party currently in Canada…. the PPC.

    1. CO, yep some in here imitate libtards very well, I won’t mention the Ooz or the colon though

      1. Its a damn good thing this isnt an echo chamber, a room full of you would be sickening and kill the site!

    2. So you essentially abstained.

Meanwhile it looks like at least two seats in nb/ns will go to the LPC because of obstinate conservatives like you. If in the final analysis this reactionary attitude ultimately ends this confederation We will know who to blame – who were the selfish ones.

      1. You obviously didn’t read my entire post, Gord.

I very clearly told close-minded CINO losers such as yourself to go F*ck Off!!!

        Please learn to read English.

Ha, to Bdsm below, point very well made. It will take the Gord-types even longer to accept the real reasons why Scheer lost than it has for Hilary to admit the real reasons for her 2016 rejection. It’s both funny and sad.

    3. Actually, us Bernier supporters could say the same about the Scheer worshippers: they wasted their vote on a dumbass who couldn’t even beat the guy who got caught lying about prosecutorial corruption (Trudeau’s high crime is fully impeachable in the US system) and wearing blackface. Talk about wasting your damned vote, you dumbass CPCers… See what I did there?

  6. Newfoundland and Labrador voting Liberal again What in in the name of Christ is wrong with you people????????????!

    1. It’s the Newf lifestyle. Work just enough weeks to qualify for pogey! And the Libs are most generous with the pogey. Odd they don’t vote ENDP though. Same thing, just more commie, so what’s the dif?

      1. The dif is that the Spawn’s party brings home the bacon while the NDP aren’t in control of the purse strings, until perhaps after tonight when the Spawn will have to suck up to Jagmeet in brown face or something like that.

    2. They vote for their welfare and couldn’t give a damn about anything else. Peeairs Canada ruined the people of Newf forever, they are the court eunuchs of the Trudeau cult.

  7. A few polls are in from some ridings already and it’s looking good. Still only like 1 or two polls reporting so far though.

        1. Yeah for decades. Alberta needs to separate. But that is another thing Scheer could have done to turn things around, a lot of people were worried he would make pot illegal again. I don’t think he did enough to reassure Canadians that ship sailed.

    1. They come to Alberta/Sask to work, then, return back home and vote Liberal? The very party that wants to shut down Oil and Gas!
Alberta/Sask should stop hiring them if they vote Liberal…..that might wake them up!

    2. Silver lining, Keith Baldrey said the Libs are down 10 pts in the maritimes from 2015 and have lost seats from last time. The table will be tilted until the prairies come along

      1. Silver lining? Bullshit!
Maritimes/Queerbecois forever liplocked to Liberal patriciasm! The time is now. Wexit!!
We knew it was coming. Just listen to the disjointed rhetoric from social media, academia, civil serpent stratum, welfare dependent basement occupants. The fix was in. We never had a chance!
…Recede to bunker to monitor outcome and formulate response.

Proof positive that voting age should be raise to 35.

  8. In spite of what the results are showing I’m taking a “I love the bomb” approach to this election.
See if the sock monkey keeps his majority he will act like he just received a mandate to continue with the destruction. This means that the establishment is going to continue to alienate the deplorable folks. Expect this will reach critical mass by spring.
If sock monkey holds on by a minority he will not have control of the agenda and will suffer death by a thousand cuts.
    That’s my theory anyway.
So I wait for the result and see if this country is still “willing to tolerate their abuses while they believe they are still tolerable”.

    1. Looks like death by a thousand cuts.

The committees will now get rejigged to reflect the house standings. This may get interesting at the Justice committee with the Bloc seeing any action against SNC (one of theirs) as an act of racism against Quebec. The task for the opposition is to let this issue get some oxygen to become a wild fire inside and outside of Quebec. The liberals are willing to make sacrifices for Quebec, but the cost/profit balance of the oldest profession must also take in to account ROI. It’s fine if the sacrifice are seats liberals can’t win, it’s when they have to start screwing one demographic to hang on to the ones they hold in Quebec.
Now couple that with the current dust up over Quebec’s secularism law.
This is an issue that you let the Bloc do the attacking. The opposition cannot aid and abet the liberals on this. The accusations of racist will be flying fast and furious but the easy response is to remind liberals that anyone who goes around in black face has no right to accuse anyone of being racist.
      But I digress.
A wise man once said “the election isn’t over till someone wins a majority”.

  9. Some of you need to calm the fuck down. These are the maritimes and the cons just gained some of what they lost in 2015. Patience.

    1. Yep exactly. We’ll know in one hour. So far it looks like it’s going horribly wrong for black face.

    2. Anything less than a 32 seat sweep will be a loss for the Libs. But yeah, NF going red reflects poorly on their ability to claim they are moving towards being a permanent “have” province.

  10. Conservatives doing better than expected in Atlantic Canada.
Also vote margins % closer than 2015.
There’s hope for central and Western Canada.

  11. The green vote in the maritimes is pretty scary now. A lot of races are three ways with Lib/Green/Con nearly evenly split.

      1. Maybe Freddie Beach. This is a good thing, as its neither a Libtard or Commie result. 338 totally missed this one.

Greens are a ZERO on PEI. Same reason as Newf, too many easy pogey voters loyal to corrupt Liberals

  12. Sounds like the lib dippers got the misleading “robo call” narrative planted already. These people are scum.

  13. Taken from the CBC results, their words not mine.

“With results coming in from across Atlantic Canada, the Conservatives are leading in what would be the low-hanging fruit for them, but there aren’t putting up the kind of numbers they would need in the region to be in the running for a majority government.”

    Scrap the CBC

  14. I watched some Global coverage, some creep in a hijab (her skin looks whiter than mayonnaise on white bread) prattling on about “people of colour”, another bint prattling on about a “climate emergency”, the usual lefty racism and pseudoscience, I guess I’ll head over to Rebel on YouTube…

  15. I became royally PO’d the past week because of the shenanigans.
    I voted PPC in retaliation.
The vote I really wanted to cast was Western Separation Party, but, alas, no candidates.
I guess I’m just another deplorable working the oil and gas field in NEBC so I say…
FSJ for LNG! FSJ for LNG! FSJ for LNG! Greenies go protest in the real polluting countries. BRIC. Go. Now. They are waiting for you.

    1. I’m another deplorable who grew up in FSJ. I remember when times were good many years ago and my father made a lot of overtime.

There are hard times now in town. It started with Red Rachel and Horganweaver being elected. Then Prinz Dummkopf started killing the oil business. After that, he made a complete hash of the NAFTA negotiations and nearly 200 people lost their jobs back in August when the OSB plant closed.

  16. The Singh surge is REAL. Two ridings in tim buk two Ontario. This is going horribly wrong trust me.

    1. The CPC is doing better, at this moment, than expected, though it is very early. Morontariowe will tell the story, and their votes are now trickling in. Still, the LPC is NOT running away with it, from their former vote rich area.
It could also be stronger results from the NDP and Greenies, definitely a factor, stealing Lib votes

  17. Toronto looks like an absolute bloodbath for the LPC here. This is not good for them at all.

OK CTV just called Liberals will form government. Literally WHAT?

  18. CBC has called it a Liberal Gov’t. Minority or a majority. What a shocker two main parties run a liberal policy campaign, and the people end up voting for the party that calles its self the Liberal as opposed to the Conservatives. F@ck you Andrew Scheer and your idiot inner circle. Don’t let the door hit you on the way out.

  19. Scheer the Steer should resign tonight if he loses even with the BQ and NDP eating Trudeau’s lunch he still can’t get the job done. Looks like a small Lib Majority happening

    1. It’d be tough to win after a leadership change. Ambrose could probably do it. Mad Max is toast nationally thanks to cat meat.

        1. I don’t. I blame Scheer. I also don’t blame Trudeau. I blame Scheer. Again, whoever was advising him and Harper should NEVER work on a campaign again. This should have been a slam dunk.

  20. We all called it here long ago. Scheep effed up the easiest election win in the western world. The dumb schitt needs to resign tonight. Calling Brad Wall….

    1. The Cons won in the one riding (Beauce, Max’s seat) where the PPC was competitive, so that doesn’t wash.

      1. ” that doesn’t wash.”

It doesn’t wash with a Max true believer. But if one views it from the position that Max knew it was all poppycock from the beginning and only wanted to take the money and run, …well it makes perfect sense. Of course that view is the view I’ve been espousing for about 2 months so it doesn’t wash with a dupe who believed Max had a chance, which he didn’t.

Oh, and it’s only the opinion of a MaxTard that Max was competitive in Beauce or anywhere else.
You see, the people of Beauce elected a CPC MP in 2015 and Max went and quit, starting his own One-Man-Party.
The realistic, common sense view would be that the voters of Beauce always wanted a CPC MP, not MAD Max Bernier.

    2. Just as America coulda had; McCain, then Romney … and THEN … the TRUE conservatives got Trump who … *stunner* … has actually DONE everything we conservatives elected him to do.

An END to all career politicians. We the People need to effect this change. Change will NEVER come from from the traditional binary choices. Ever.

  21. Fat pig on CBC cheering for Liberal scumbags. Yup her name is Rosie and she’s disgusting. Very giggly, probably leaving a puddle.

  22. Canadians deserve to get it good and hard. I don’t want to hear any bitching when they get their higher energy bills and we lose even more of our foreign influence (such as it is).

    1. Now The Athabasca Republic is an idea I can get behind. I think I just found a political cause worth donating to. Time to get active in the freedom movement! End the Imperialist tyranny of the Eastern Laurentian aristocracy. Get involved and join the struggle for freedom!

      1. I have friends who have left Canada for Texas, Wyoming, Utah, Montana and even Mexico to get away from the wealth draining parasites of the East.

Either we in the West become our own country or Me and my own will leave as well. One can not continue to work hard and create wealth to only have it taken away and given to the grifters and slackers.

      1. That’s not the only good news. As Andrew Coyne pointed out in the National Post:
“…this will be the 10th minority Parliament to result from the past 21 elections; the fourth in the past six. But this one comes with an unusual wild card: the SNC-Lavalin affair, and its unresolved aftermath. Had the Liberals maintained their majority, they might have hoped to keep some sort of a lid on it, give or take an RCMP investigation. But without a majority, the opposition will now control all the committees, and can call whatever witnesses they like.”

        https://nationalpost.com/news/politics/election-2019/canadian-federal-election-2019-results-justin-trudeau-liberals-andrew-scheer-conservatives

Also, it is little consolation but the UPC is ahead in the popular vote over the Libranos.

        1. // But without a majority, the opposition will now control all the committees, and can call whatever witnesses they like.” //
He said the same thing tonight on CBC.
And Chantel Hebert turned on him and asked “And do you think the Bloc will go along with that?”

          1. Very much agree. It’s not in the interests of the Bloc (with SNC-Lavalin on their turf) or the NDP – who’d lose their deciding vote in a Lib Minority.

I mean really, why doesn’t Sockpuppet just ask the Con’s to support him? Andrew Who has voted right beside him on every issue…

  23. Global news projects a liberal minority.
    Scheer needs to resign tonight.
That bumbling oaf has screwed the CPC since stealing the leadership from Max.
Then he has the audacity to hire Kinsella to destroy Max.
He claims to be from the west.
Doesnt go to bat for the canola and pulse growers with China and India.
All he can say is “I’m not Justin”

    1. Bernier is the true oaf in this debacle. He lost bad, including his own seat, deservedly so.
Doubtful he bled enough votes to change the result, but he was still a disaster.
Instead, “real conservatives” do everything they could to sabotage Scheer, then blame him for winning the popular vote.
Utter stupidity, short-sightedness and a complete lack of common sense from a bunch of selfish twits having a temper tantrum.
