  1. Liberals. Not only do you get the privilege of paying for their outlandish wages and benefits, you now have to pay for their guilt. The only way the western world survives this government mandated madness is to starve the beast.

  2. “Most importantly, they shouldn’t because the PTC is inextricably linked to the proposed EPA regulation of carbon dioxide on existing power providers, and therefore a vote in favor of reinstating the PTC is a vote in favor of President Obama’s climate agenda.”
There are many things a restorative constitutional government must do to roll back the the klepto-fascist state erected by post war crony administrations. Most post war statute is intertwined into the tax-extort-dominate agenda of a dangerously large hegemonic federal concentration of power. Dissolving the EPA and turning natural resource protection over to the states is one positive move forward but first, to make sure abusive environmental regulating has no force, the IRS, Fed Reserve, DHS, BLM, TSA, BATF and a dozen other states rights infringing fed organs must be dissolved.
Anything else, like wrangling over wording in bills or superficial tinkering with current agendas indicates a congress which is uninterested in stabilizing a seriously out of control destructive government and freeing the people from its regulatory/administrative slavery. The failure of democratic correction leaves the nation in a precarious state of affecting correction by other means – but correction is needed and it will come – one way or the other.

  3. Light grey text is an affectation by designers who are desperately trying to be cool. It is difficult to read in many lighting situations. Why force readers to struggle to read what you’ve written?
    Oh, right – you’re a liberal.

  4. Light grey text readability is highly dependent on the viewing monitor (backlight, pixel mask, etc, etc, the browser and the resolution. Same with all the light colours… IE doesn’t render RGB the same as FF nor the same as chrome. Too many canned blog themes use it without the ability to change it…

  5. I find the light grey very easy on the eyes. Not sure why people are so worked up about it. But then I am using a large LED monitor – maybe that has something to do with it. Black on white looks almost harsh in comparison.
Although neither is as bad as white text on a black background. I refuse to read any site that employs that..

  6. Wind runs on Subsidies…as all Ontarians must know by now and they all will once again, reap the benefits thru massive increases in their Electrical Bills.
There Truly should be a CRIMINAL Investigation into who profited from ONtario’s Wind Energy SCAM…charges laid and persons Jailed. Starting with McGuinty and his Energy Minister and their Liberal buddies in the wind energy industry.
It (energy costs), was one of the main reasons I left in Oct 2010 after a 3 yr stint in Barrie..you could see it coming, SMart Meters & increases in base cost were already moving forward. No regrets..especially coming back to Calgary.
How the avg person makes a go of it in that Province is beyond me.

  7. If tax credits alone make wind energy competitive, then Saskatchewan Power and other government electric generating companies have some explaining to do.

  8. Steakman; your comment on how does the average resident make it in Ontario is raised about three levels when it comes to maintaining a small business. The employers I know have been subsidizing their personal 60 hour weeks to pay their remaining employees, by the employers living off their savings. Yet the regulations continue to come.
Any effort to increase production beyond twenty employees means an exponential expansion of regulations requiring the addition of more overhead cost. This done either through contractors or additional administrator personnel just so the employer can continue to work overtime at no pay.

  9. It there were a coup d’état in Ontario and instigators dressed up as Amerindians (N.American Indians)and/or Mohammedans, used swords and butcher knives would the OPP even come out of the donut shops?
