Why this blog?
Until this moment I have been forced to listen while media and politicians alike have told me "what Canadians think". In all that time they never once asked.
This is just the voice of an ordinary Canadian yelling back at the radio -
"You don't speak for me."

“Almost one person in every five experiences constant pain and there is a considerable need to find new painkilling drugs.”
Actually, there is a considerable need for doctors who will (and can) do more about chronic pain than throw a prescription for synthetic opiates at their patients.
As it is, only the very wealthy have access to doctors who can be bothered to actually fix them when they break—doctors who make house calls and come running because they are paid in hard cash upfront—using the organs of young workers who could have been saved easily but had their viscera torn out in the ER while they were still breathing.
The rest of us are just beasts of burden. If they could, they would just shoot us when we fell ill. As it is, they give us oxycodone and fentanyl, and wait for us to kill ourselves.
I didn’t rad all of the article..maybe a more complete reader will be able to comment. Seems like this will also be responsible for itching.. Maybe they will come up with a med to stop mosquito bite discomfort. I have been known to scratch myself bloody in my sleep from those damn flying demons.
Antihistamines even the cheap over the counter kind.
Lets hope you don’t get crabs!
Antihistamines are non toxic, non-addictive, so you can take them daily during bug season and you’ll get great relief.
For a bothersome bite – dab benydril -after bite care – contains ammonia, but takes out the itch.
I spent a summer of my youth moving sprinkler pipe on a hay ranch in Klamath Falls OR. I battled rattlesnakes and mosquitos all summer. Killed 23 rattlesnakes in 3 mos. Meh. That was nothing compared to the absolute scourge of the mosquitos. They were everywhere. In my mouth, buzzing my head … constantly. So bad that I had to wear long sleeve shirts every day in the 95 deg.F heat. Rattlesnakes were occasional pests … the gawddamnned mosquitos were constant. Hated them, and couldn’t WAIT to return to civilization where they had mosquito vector control.
The role of glial cells in the nervous system really needs to be reexamined. Their name implies a “glue” function, keeping other cells in place, but they clearly do far more. They make up the white matter in our brains, and there is evidence that they are involved in the thought process alongside the neurons.
Organism < organ system<organ<tissue<cell
Skin was considered an organ but now an organ system?
So it goes.
Moral of the story … the science is hardly settled, and we hardly “know everything”.
But this much I do know … when mankind allows political FRAUD to masquerade as Science … we’re doomed. It’s already cost our society $T’s in wasted resources. Resources that could have been put to better use for the good of society.
So does this finding then suggest tattoo addicts are masochists?
