  1. https://nationalpost.com/news/toronto/toronto-politicians-to-weigh-steps-as-province-revives-bill-to-reduce-council

Now we are being told by the Toronto city clerk that ensuring a fair election is becoming “virtually impossible.”

May I suggest then that the election be postponed indefinitely and Toronto be placed under administration by a Queen’s Park committee until measures are taken to ensure a free and fair election is possible in the city—such as insisting voters produce photo ID, proof of Canadian citizenship and proof that they paid taxes to the city in the year prior to the election, before every election.

In the meantime, letting grownups run the place for a change would do Toronto a world of good.

  2. Preaching to the choir, but .., ” Hey Toronto, notice what jobs your leaders are busting their asses, to save?”

    1. And everyone is horrified at the prospect that President Trump openly discussed overthrowing a regime that, for once, actually needed overthrowing and wasn’t simply a threat to the House of Saud’s plan to dominate the Middle East.

    2. Harper was right about almost everything. It is so sad to not have his brilliant mind guiding our country. Instead we have chaos and incompetence, but looks like the foolish media is pretty happy.

  3. Just want to post the idea, well-discussed by now, that Mr. Trudeau and the Liberals will not be signing any NAFTA agreement, given the high-jinks at the “Trump is Tyrant” session in Toronto (well hidden by the media cartel). So what this means is a probable recession in Canada. Trudeau knows this, so — with the collapse of the NDP party and the probable start of Bernier’s Populist Party in Canada –everything is set to go for a November election, with the Liberals as easy winners.

Things are no better south of the border. Trump mouths off too much, and it is turning off voters (I say this as a Trump supporter). He is falling in the polls, so look for big Democratic Party gains in November, anti-Trump hearings in November with a Congressional Democratic majority, with a Democratic President in 2022.

    I’m depressed about the future.

    1. If you’re American, it’s not too late to donate to or volunteer for a candidate’s campaign. The future isn’t something that just happens to you. Shape it yourself.

      1. You’re right of course. I am American-born, but am an immigrant to Canada. I have been active in conservative politics in Canada since the late 1980s, but at 69 years of age, I am getting tired(!). I will be joining Bernier’s People’s Party of Canada, but like many Reform activists in the 1990s, I am getting old and the energy level is not there. I hope the PPC get’s off the ground and that a lot of younger people get involved.

        1. David – remember your view is shaped by the media narrative. Before Trump was elected I was traveling in the U.S. And spoke to between 12 ao15 people asking what they thought of Trump. They were nearly unanimous in supporting Trump. Two exceptions- a woman who said she paid no attention to politics and an older evidently well connected Republican who despised Trump. ( made his living signing off on bridge inspection and thought every man wanted to date his mother ). The mid terms will give a better indication. In Canada I have found nearly everyone has bought into the narrative that Trump is a bully and a madman. A good portion are conservatives. Trudeau will win on his anti Trump stand with the full support of the media. Sheer and coherents believe they can win on fighting the carbon tax . I believe they are wrong . People have not felt the pain yet . It is time to start thinking about alternatives. We are likley stuck with Justin at least one more term and likely two – if the country survives .

    2. You believe polls is what’s funny silly silly believing in fake polls…

Quit believing mainstream news they are all corrupt leftist idiots…

Mad Max is going to do very well for the majority of Canadians are fed up with the three leftist parties Castro Kids, Silent Sheer and the NDP…

      1. Max was my choice for CPC leader, but since Scheer won my enthusiasm for the conservative movement has waned dramatically. Too many conservatives haven’t accepted the new paradigm and are busily campaigning like Dief is still the Chief.
I’ll probably join up with Max’s new Party, donate a few bucks to them, not as much as Paul Desmarais jr. will donate to the Liberals and Conservatives, but at least I’ll feel a little better, kind of like taking a laxative after being bunged up for a few days.
I believe we are destined to another term or more of Trudeau whether we like it or not. No Province will separate as per the current conservative fantasy, and no rebel leader will emerge from complacent and acquiescent Little Canader, where the sheep have been inculcated with marxist propaganda for two generations now.
We couldn’t produce a Mao or Fidel or even a William Lyon MacKenzie if our lives depended on it.

        1. Michelle Rempel is my MP. I will be supporting her, even thought it will appear to some as support for Scheer.

    1. More Elitist Leftard MoFo’s who would never have to fill up their own vehicles…
It seems to me that this country is starting to resemble France of the mid to late 1700’s.

“let them eat cake”..comes to mind….as does a REVOLUTION.

  4. It’s amazing these left wing pinkos in Toronto had no difficulty with the province of Quebec using the notwithstanding clause to ban outright English signs in the province. Once again liberals prove they have mental issues.

  5. I don’t know if anyone else here has already linked to this story, I find it fascinating to say the least. Apart from the UK , some science groups and local rags, this bizarre story seems to be ignored by the MSM…

Mystery continues to surround the sudden shutdown last week of the national Sunspot Solar Observatory in New Mexico, which remained closed Thursday with little explanation offered. The mysterious activity coincides with a solar storm, which hit Earth this week. Conspiracy theories fill the silence…

    https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sciencetech/article-6165717/Solar-observatory-finally-releases-statement-week-shut-address-security-issue.html

“According to the Daily News, Benny House, the sheriff of Otero County, said the FBI was involved in what he described as an elaborate shutdown process and said “the FBI is refusing to tell us what’s going on. There was a Blackhawk helicopter, a bunch of people around antennas and work crews on towers, but nobody would tell us anything,” House said, according to the newspaper, which reported the observatory entrance was marked off with yellow crime scene tape on Friday.”

Apparently the local post office was closed too, so maybe this is nothing more than a white powder in an envelope showing up. That is my wild-ass guess, anyways.

    1. Yes. That’s a weird one. I do think it is something beyond white powder, though I am surprised they have not come up with some innocuous explanation to stop the rumours.

    1. I think it is good. Maybe a few nostalgic lefties will unconsciously gravitate to the party. Bernier is about the only hope to change things for the better in Canada.
