  4. Well, as I see it, these are the facts on the ground:

    – the Liberal lead in the polls is about 7% (about where they were on election day 2015);

    – Andrew Scheer is nowhere to be found;

    – No NAFTA deal is in sight;

    – No pipelines are even remotely on the horizon; and,

    – A split in the conservative element in this country seems probable.

    What, precisely, does anyone propose to do about any of this situation (assuming, naturally, that I am correct on my assessment)?

Plus, the NDP is about to self-destruct, and because of this Trudeau’s logical strategy is to tilt the Liberal party further to the left, to pick up Green party and dissatisfied NDP votes. This means a continued advocacy in favour of destroying the Western Canada energy industry.

  6. I’ve never seen a man so determined to keep his knees in constant contact. From sheer bewilderment, I’ve experimented with mimicing his poses. The discomfort exceeds any possible rationale. I’m left to conclude this demonstration of apparent masochism must indicate an underlying self-loathing. Which, when you reflect on it, goes a long way to explain a lot of what he does.

    1. I am not well read in the area, but there is a feminist critique against “manspreading”. Justin Trudeau is aware of this complaint, so he purposely poses to avoid any possible manspreading. Trump manspreads, and seeing the two in a picture is a classic. This is my take on this.

I’ve never been a full time high school drama teacher, or even a part time high school drama teacher like our Prime Minister, but, I can see that while $4.5 billion may buy an aging pipeline it won’t buy many votes in oil producing provinces. Unfortunately the Libs don’t need much western support to remain in power. I expect an early election will be called to get eastern voters to the ballot box before they realize the economic impact of the pipeline decision and the effect the NAFTA implosion will have on eastern exports.
    Trudeau has been described as “limp wristed” but I am concerned the same may soon apply to Andrew Scheer!

    When was this event? Was the relatively small crowd because it was on a work week night, or a night when there was another major event in town?
    Saskatoon isn’t exactly in the heart of Liberal Canada,and it looks like about 80 people did attend,and it IS another year before the election,etc. So let’s not get too optimistic about disenchantment with Trudeau just yet, especially when the alternative, Andrew Scheer couldn’t pack a phone booth in Delisle.

Prime example … the voters of Regina Northeast just elected an NDP MLA in a byelection despite the NDP leader’s objections to pipelines and love for a carbon tax. No pipelines and a carbon tax run completely opposite to Saskatchewan’s economic well-being. It’s tragic that the stupid and uninformed aren’t forced to suffer the consequences on their own.
