Runners, like cyclists tend to be intensely self-absorbed and totally oblivious to what’s going on around them. Once while driving to work at 6 AM in the dead of winter and turning at an intersection I almost ran down a runner dressed all in black. Verbal altercation ensued – ended in a draw.

Just in the interest of accuracy, there is no evidence Bill Ayres had anything to do with the town house nail bomb. In fact, it was made by Theodore Gold, Diana Oughton, and Terry Robbins along with the two who survived the explosion.

Well, Kate, I lean towards it being Israel’s Independence Day.
As well, I could say Boston was chosen because the marathon attracts such a large crowd, or I could lean towards Boston’s important role in America’s war of independence.
