  1. I think that about sums it up. Marriage and family are usually denigrated by the left officially for selfish reasons but probably unofficially because these women cannot make a go of them. Useless degrees? Spot on. Useless careers? Again, spot on. Miserable inside and out? Bingo.

  2. You think it’s just the women journalists who serve as an example to the young mostly as a cautionary tale? How many of you would willingly marry your daughter off to an unattractive 45-year-old divorcé still paying child support, working in an industry in terminal decline and unemployable in anything else? Would it matter that he had a column in a newspaper you never read or even that he styled himself a conservative?
I pray the MSM has been tossed into the dustbin of history before any son or daughter of mine is old enough to seriously consider working for them. If they have the sense God gave them, neither one will want to.

  3. The Captain lobs another mortar right into the middle of the womyn’s collective, cardboard doll house.
They’ll have to order a replacement from North Korea.

  4. Mark Steyn coined a wonderful description for Ms. Dowd. “middle aged school girl”
Most of the Western world has been run by middle aged school girls for last couple of decades, even though most of them have pen*ses.
I see Steyn’s kicked Dowd up stairs to the position of elderly school girl now and that gal that sounds like a Chinese aphrodisi*c, Sandra Fluke, has taken her place as the middle aged school girl of note.

  5. I went through el Capitan’s list. The only person I’d heard of on it was Ms. Dowd. I don’t believe I’ve read a word by any of the other persons listed.
    Perhaps that’s why I’m so happy…

  6. The only feminist that ever perked me up was Gloria Steinem because she was the only one of the bunch I would pay to see naked. While feminism had its day, any lack of achievement by women today is self inflicted. Half the premiers are women for heaven’s sake.

  7. Ok, admit it: how many of us Google Image Searched the names to see if the Captain’s ratings on appearance were correct?
I don’t mean to be mean, but his low score of 2.75 may have been generous.

  8. Lucky for me, my daughter(13) likes rock stars that wear make-up, have lots of tattoos, piercings, and make bad music. I guess I’ve got nothing to worry about.lol
Seriously, she’s the coldest, most calculating conservative thinker I know. She reminds me a bit of Kath Shaidle(sp?); so I’m not worried a bit.

  9. I think the captain has to realize that most young women today have swallowed the cool-aid; their attitudes might be closer to Ms. Dowd than you think. My wife who stayed at home to look after the kids and help run our business is the last of a species. Our daughter, a bit of a right-winger in her own right has no intention of anything like that. The career comes first, then marriage, and then a family.

  10. The Lefty comentariat gives advice based on a philosophy that runs counter to human nature. Following such a philosophy will inevitably give bad results. Its like trying to do welding on aluminum with steel wire, it can’t possibly work.
And surprise, their personal lives reflect it. Ruination and misery.

  11. Ah, you’ve reminded me of my favourite Karnak.
    “The answer is, Gloria Steinem.
The question is, what is Gloria doing with her shoelaces?”
