  1. Not to pick at scabs but I hope they will have a crash coarse on how many men on the field at one time.

  2. I was cold just watching the game, -29 is a bit much for anyone to have to play a professional sport. Damned good game in spite of the weather.
The Eastern final was lovely, cheerleaders still in frilly skirts and halter tops. The Als should be easy pickings for the Saskabush crew if Edmonton is as cold as it’s been when I last visited.
Next week in Edmonton,we can only hope Global Warming holds off until our Western team exacts vengeance.

  3. With a few minutes left one of my buddies was yelling ‘Don’t count the chickens, count the players!’

  4. It’ll be quite a bit warmer next weekend in Edmonton. Good luck to the Riders, they’re up against a very good Montreal team.
Lance, are you going to the game?

  5. Al the fish in MB: “Okay Rider fans, take off your shoes and socks, if you see more players on the field next Sunday, than toes on your feet, that’s a penalty, 13 men on the field.” Very funny. Cruel but funny.

  6. Al the fish in MB @ 8:14 PM: “Okay Rider fans, take off your shoes and socks, if you see more players on the field next Sunday, than toes on your feet, that’s a penalty, 13 men on the field.”
    ===================
Waddjamean? Looking at my feet, that would have to be 15 on the field.

  7. I feel bad for Nick Lewis’ wife tonite. She is all he has left to talk trash to.
The Stamps have had thier asses handed to them. Never have I seen a team with trash talking attitude like this bunch.
I guess they can talk the talk but walkin the talk………………. not on this day.

  8. Go Riders! They have the heart and the best damn fans evah!! The Stamps were my first pick, (only ’cause I was born here).

  9. Months ago, my girl and I saw a ticket package at Costco for seats in Edmonton for the Grey Cup. I was doubtful, but I said that if Sask made the finals and I didn’t buy these tickets, wow, would I hate myself. Well, I didn’t buy them and here we are. Damn, was I wrong. She reminded me so tonight.
I have never been so happy being wrong in my life.
    Go Riders.

  10. DennisK – as far as I know there never has been a Rough-rider win with the NDP. Someone might correct me but I believe that the last Grey Cup, prior to the Dipper defeat, was in 1966 (not a Dipper gument, I think it was Conservative). I was at that game – I was an usher for the Regina ex. – Jay and the Americans were the drawing card for me but my cousin was over the moon because he was a football fan. People who live under oppression lose the will to win. Winners are punished and losers are rewarded under that regime. I will be cheering for the greens in Edmonton next week.

  11. A Commerative Coin celebrating their Grey Cup victory is being minted as we speak.
Sad they have to play Montreal (a good team) rather than Tarranastan.
Thank goodness we hoarded all those WaterMelons – they should thaw out by the GC.

  12. The Riders have never won a Grey Cup with an NDP government in power.
In 1966, the Thatcher Liberals were in power.
In 1989, the Devine Conservatives were in power.
In 2007, the Wall Saskatchewan Party was in power. This is third appearance by the Riders in the Grey Cup since the SK Party was elected.
The NDP are bad luck not only for our province, but for our Riders.

  13. Depending on the weather, nice warm day- Als 28 ,Rider 17.
If it’s a lousy cold windy day: Riders 31, Als 24

  14. My apologies to Rider fans, not all have 12 toes, as in this little anecdote:
“Hey Y’all look at that stupid gopher that popped up between my feet, I’ll take care of him!”
    BLAM!!!
    OWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW!!!!!!!!!!!
And that’s how Kate’s cousin got the nickname ‘Twinkle Toe.’

  15. “Friken stamps again what is up with this team man ?”
    Many things.
Too many stupid penalties. Burris didn’t feel like tucking the ball in and running with it occaisionally. Too cold I guess. Inability to cover Getzlaff. Inability to pressure Durant. Not to mention the inability (or reluctance) to fall on a fumbled punt return rather than hope the ball bounces up into your arms. If the Stamps recover that fumble, it’s game over.
And let’s not forget the Riders’ new-found run defense.

  16. Special Practice for Riders….
“One, Two, Three, Four, Five, Six, Seven, Eight, Nine, Ten, Eleven, Twelve, STOP!!!!”

  17. Since the Rider’s knocked out my B.C. Lions (we’ll get ya’ next year) I’ve been cheering them on. The “western” Riders have the best fans in the league, and you have to love ’em, unless the Lions are playing them. The Alouettes have a great team too, so it should be a wonderful game. I’m sure the people of Edmonton will have a fun time this Grey Cup week and do the country proud. I love my B.C. Lions, but GO RIDERS GO!!
