I said at that time perhaps a little effort to uncover the reason that staff are falling to their deaths, assisted or not, onto the street of Venice (I know its Vienna, rehashed folly) would be slightly more important than the “Great Chickeneer’s Gambit”.
Then again perhaps it is so mentally unbalancing to be part of the UN, an agency seemingly bent on Global Governance is so at odds to their record of achievements for mankind ( name one massive UN program that actually turned out making things better long term, even better one that would not be deemed an abject failure ) that if more windows opened this would not be so unusual?

I heard tell of a fella found hanging by his neck under a bridge and had been stabbed to death and was declared a suicide by police. Not related to this story but the same idea.
How could anyone fall a 120 ft down a stairway anyway, don’t stairwell’s usually have little landings between each floor?
He got up between each floor and threw himself down again till he couldn’t anymore and that just happened to be on the last floor?

I just imagine the scenario where the goons are holding him by the ankles over the stairwell, waiting for him to stop wriggling around long enough for them to aim him down the center of the shaft.

He didn’t fall downthe stirs per se, he/they fell down the stair shaft as I understood the report. You know ow stairs and wide around an open hole in some buildings?
Reminds me of the old story about how “Mr. X regretably threw himself out the 5th story window in despair and died of injuries on the 4th try.”

Probably accidental — the victims usually try to wrap some electrical cord around their neck and tie it off to a railing on the way down as a means of arresting the fall. Failing that, they often stuff their mouths with rags and wrap duct tape over the front to act as a sort of internal crash helmet while tying their hands behind their backs to resist the temptation of reaching out and possibly breaking a wrist on a railing on the way down.
If I ever need to whack someone, I think I’ll invite them to Austria. Chances of being caught — zippo!
