  1. Money ALWAYS walks! and the people who make the money are generally capitalists – Makers, not Takers.
This has also happened within the GTA and now in New York City. Socialism always wants to “Tax the Rich” , forgetting this adage!

  2. Highly recommended. A group of intelligent normal people explain in practical detail about how Washington State has lost its way.

These people left a state that has no state income tax to live where they have one. However, they unanimously agree that the Idaho government has the right priorities and that they are getting value for their tax dollar.

Washington state politicians should be forced to watch this!

  3. There are many reasons why I haven’t yet fled CA … but I absolutely will … as soon as conditions warrant. But perhaps the #1 reason why I’m still here is because I live in a very nice, insular, wealthy community where crime is more rare than the river otters that swim in our creeks (yes, we have them here in our semi-rural suburbia).

No spent needles in our parks and schoolyards. Never been a tent or RV parked on our streets. No homeless at all, anywhere. Everything is clean, green, and upscale. Yes, this place has turned leftist and the gay rainbow flag is flying over our city hall and downtown park. And yes, our downtown is being overrun with State of CA mandated 7-story “affordable” housing blocks (if you consider a $1.5M stacked and packed condo – affordable) … but my wife can safely walk our regional trail, and I haven’t ever locked my front or rear doors. The worst ‘crime’ we experience are the annoying door-to-door ATT salespeople.

My community is why more people haven’t fled CA. We are a shitholio State … with a series of what can only be viewed as Medieval “walled” cities where the civilized people have fled. Insular towns where the leftists can raise their families safe and secure from what they’ve voted-for. Voted for … the other people.

    1. Surely you can find that same desirable ambiance in any number of places in the US—and be among right-minded people.

As for “when conditions warrant” sometimes a condition changes so fast that relocation becomes much more difficult. A severe illness for example.

        1. My decision to leave Canada was relatively easy. I fell in love with a Spanish gal. I’ve never regretted it despite the distance from family and old friends.

          1. I’ve heard stories about Spanish girls … including my son’s Spanish fling at UCLA. Nice girl.

  4. I have lived in Washigton most of my life and I have always loved the place, until now. During the past two decades, especially, this lovely place has increasingly become zombiefied by the mendaciously corrupt rule of the Democrat Party that keeps its chokehold on government through the atrocity called “mail-in voting”. It’s a tyrant’s dream come true.
Thankfully, my home is in Whitman County and only six miles from the Idaho border, so crossing the Olympia Curtain to freedom land is easily and consistently done. Eastern Washigton is strongly conservative, but the populous counties west of the Cascades is where the deep blue rot is firmly established. My son and his family, all Washington natives, fled the woke vote maufacturing juggernaut that is King County, which along with Pierce, Snohomish, and Thurston Counties control the rest of the state, and moved to Rome, Georgia, primarily to rescue my grandchildren from the insanely dystopian Washington public school sytem. They are now very happily adapted to and thriving in a vibrant and sustaining Southern culture. My wife and I will soon follow them there.

  5. Roughly 70% of Washington Counties vote Republican, often by large majoity.

However, the popular vote for the state as a whole is 60% Democratic. They have the big cities sewn up.

  6. At least they’re able to leave.
    Good luck.

One of the many problems with socialism and socialists is the inherent Authoritarianism.
As those arseholes in California prove by trying to steal the wealth of those who have left.

Everyone east of the iron curtain couldn’t even leave.

If Americans think they’re immune, they’re nuts.
The Socialists will “amend” the constitution. Declare an emergency…like Covid.
You can’t live with them as they hate your free will and they hate your industry and hate your individualism.

Look north to the Shithole where socialism’s embrace has brought about a depressing and tortuous decline.

Again, you can’t live with socialists.
We all know what needs to be done to stop the Authoritarian advance.

  7. Fleeing Canada, which is one big blue state socialist shithole, getting shittier by the day is an easy choice. Ordering your affairs to minimize the exit tax is challenging, I am into year two of it, but will be ready in 2027, and it is off to the free state of Florida. Thank goodness my daughters made the choice at the start of their careers, with one already there a year and the other in 2027 as well.
Kenji-My oldest lives in California, and will never return, that should tell you how bad it is here. To her California is a breath of free, low tax air, can you imagine what it is like in this shitstain of a country?
