Trump slashes federal bureaucracy;
The Environmental Protection Agency is on track to slash 47% of its total staff by the end of President Trump’s first term, according to a report in the Washington Examiner. After just one year, EPA chief Scott Pruitt has reduced his staff to levels unseen since the Reagan administration. If just those federal employees set to retire by 2021 do indeed leave, Pruitt will have cut more than 7,000 bureaucrats.

Tony Reardon, president of the National Treasury Employees Union representing 150,000 federal workers at over 30 agencies laments, “Morale has never been lower. Government is making itself a lot less attractive as an employer.”

I work for the federal government in one of the more “conservative” agencies and I can throw the BS flag up on the “morale has never been lower…” quote right here. It’s in agencies like EPA and IRA that are full of these career government employees that think their position as a GS worker installs some sort of power over their fellow citizens who dislike the President and his agenda to cut bureaucratic crap.
DHS is very happy with him, now that we actually get to do our job of securing the homeland.

This makes me so happy. I work in the environmental consulting field and so have had to deal with so many of these apparatchiks the last quarter century. They’re not all bad apples of course, but so many have that ATTITUDE. I used to be pretty middle of the road centrist, but interacting with these people made me who I am today – a RWNJ!
