In my neighborhood in 1963 … only RICH people owned a color TV … we were still watching Ed Sullivan in Black and White in 1964 when this group of colored girls were broadcast … and we just saw them as black girls … on a white background.

Ohhhhhh mommmaaaaa my B&W TV was systemically racist. And we missed out on those ‘peach’ outfits.
