1. So ya … y’all come and take a place in the waiting room … bring food and blankets … the wait list is long …very long ,…

2. Might be part of the plan, MAID, those organ bank$ don’t fill themselves you know, easier to get informed consent from clients that don’t understand English or French.

3. And its the federal government who won’t let you pay for a parallel private service – unless you live in K-bec or leave the country.
   Liberal Marcus Powloski – like every Liberal – obviously hates Canada and Canadians.

   1. At least Powloski is an emergency room doctor, unlike our at the time Minister of Health, a graphics artist…..

      1. Being in the bureaucracy doesn’t necessarily give you the best viewpoint.

With our wait times that result in death, with our shortage of doctors, nurses and other health care workers, our emergency rooms where the average wait time is 4 hours and sometimes they are closed for days, the Liberals want to add migrants into this disaster? We’re already bringing in a million per year and they want more?

   How do they manage to get elected…oh, wait.

   1. Average 4 hours??? More like 14 to never where I live.

      1. Up to 4 hours for just bloodwork or an x-ray here.

5. Lieberals will solidify support even if it kills Canadians. Importing new Lieberal supporters is totally worth the price. Screw the taxpayers, Lieberal politicians and card carrying member bureaucrats have a land to rule over.

6. Previous experiences with Emergency at an Ottawa hospital were OK. Quick triage, not a long wait to be seen. But its been a while.

   5 weeks ago, same hospital. Quick triage, registration and off to x-ray. 6 1/2 hours later get to see an intern and doctor to tell me my knee was sore. Well maybe in a little more detail, prescription and some twisting and turning to say the MCL and Meniscus were damaged. Get physio.

   Waiting room was horrendous, packed edge to edge. I was sitting near the entrance and heard initial complaints. 90%+ should have been a family doctor or clinic. A lot did not have provincial health cards or proper ID.

   Yeah, we have more room for freeloaders.

   BTW, MCL is fine. Meniscus and LCL are damaged and maybe more. Physio said they should have scanned the knee considering the pain and not walking.

   Surprised they didn’t offer MAID considering the pain level.

   1. Should have seem a family doctor?? Great, but here in NS, 1 in 5 don’t have one, like me.

      1. Yeah, situations not great here either. Ottawa, the city, is putting together packages to attract doctors.

         Our “free” health care is: Federal tax, Provincial tax, Ontario Health surtax (up to $900 based on income), city property tax.

         Never-mind the indirect costs of workers sitting around in Emerge waiting rooms, lost production in long waits for specialists, increased private insurance costs to employer/employee, and just the miserable existence while waiting through all this.

         I know my knee is going to need an MRI, and I’m pretty sure I’ll be in New York state to get it done in a timely manner. The costs don’t seem to be that bad.

      2. I use a nurse practitioner. Works great. She and a few other NP’s work with a doctor.

7. If I self-identify as an illegal migrant do I get a doctor?
   Identifying as an ATM for the government doesn’t seem to work.
