These programs don’t solve any problems, don’t generally help the people they’re purportedly intended for, but do funnel millions of dollars to the friends & family members of these politicians … and allegedly back into their campaigns – but no matter, the programs must continue! From personal conversations I’ve had with friends in San Francisco and Vancouver, I know first hand how useless and wasteful these programs are.

If only we had an Opposition leader who hadn’t decided to try and exploit the situation by out-Liberaling the Liberals in their TDS instead of calmly explaining to the voters how Canada should have been listening to Trump’s concerns and mollifying him rather than stupidly *confronting* and opposing him as we did (which we knew damn well could easily end in economic disaster for us). If only we had a leader that smart.

Carney’s numbers will crater when even the dumbest Easterner can no longer deny that he doesn’t have a bloody clue what he is doing….he is paralyzed.
I’m sorry but taking heart in a 41-39% poll when it should be 90-10% strikes me as just wishful thinking that it means a significant change is in the cards.
It’s like those Euro polls that show some anti-immigrant party’s popularity has risen from 20% to 35%.

Well, that’s the thing, isn’t it? The truth is that those programs are -amazingly- effective at their true purpose, which is enriching politicians and their hangers=on. They just lied about what the program is for.
And yes, “Conservative” programs are exactly the same. The purpose is enriching liars, only the lies differ.
Whenever you see a guy saying “there oughta be a law” or “if only everyone would just chip in” the thing to do is tar and feather that guy. Canada will improve only after that starts to happen spontaneously.
