  1. There won’t be any indictments stemming from Russiagate:

    Key quotes:

“Kash Patel says, “we are building a case for the American public“… There it is.”

“It’s okay. Sunlight is a good goal, exposure is a good goal, but moderate expectations and do not expect to see any indictments. They “are building a case for the American public,” not a jury.”

“If they were building a case for a jury, they wouldn’t be on television talking about building their case.”

  2. Three Mile Island was the worst non event in history. It led to Jane Fonda’s crappy sci fi movie, and decades of lost innovation and research. We now have millions of acres of environmental damage from solar panels wind mills cheered on by the envirotards who used 3 Mile Island as a new excuse to oppose nuclear. Envirotards fully funded by the Soviet Union which had other reasons to oppose progress in nuclear research,

  3. At no time during the Three Mile Island reactor incident did radiation levels inside the facility cause exposure to exceed levels that open heart surgery patients endured from the multiple X-rays required for such surgery at that time.

The whole thing was and remains just another enviro-leftist fraud.

  4. Nucl Eng here… anyway, the most amazing thing about China Syndrome was that it came out less than two weeks before TMI. I remain amazed by that even now.

The sister unit on-site continued to operate very well for years– and will be re-opened hopefully soon!

They are changing the name to avoid having to explain… no, not the one that broke.

  5. As the late Kathy Shaidle used to say, more people died in Ira Einhorn’s apartment than at Three Mile Island.

    1. I like the old joke that Ted Kennedy’s Oldsmobile killed more people than the nuclear reactor at Three Mile Island.
Side note … in the 70’s I took nuclear physics at Ottawa U while getting my BSc Geology …. one of the best courses I ever took from an interest point of view. We studied the US, Russian & Canuck (Candu) reactors.

  6. Today marks 80 years since President Harry Truman announced the unconditional surrender of Japan to Allied forces.

  7. What does this mean for Canadian banks with branches operating in the US?

Trump signed an executive order on Thursday directing the Treasury Department and bank regulators to ensure lenders do not have policies in place that deny services to customers based on political or religious beliefs, a practice known as “debanking.” Any wrongdoing uncovered could result in fines, disciplinary measures, and even referrals to the Justice Department.
Trump’s debanking order could create headaches for banks, sources say | Reuters

  8. In a documentary I watched on YouTube:

President Carter was a nuclear expert in the navy.
President Carter visited Three Mile Island during the accident.
President Carter knew there was no danger.
President Carter said nothing to not upset anti nuclear Democrats.
