  1. Strategically it wouldn’t be a bad move for the Liberals. Every time some voices an objection to a Liberal policy the shrill harpies could screech “racist!” or “misogynist!” unless you’re a white guy, in which case they’ll screech both. If you’re a brown woman they can accuse you of “doing what you’re told” by your husband (because that’s what bown woman do of course, unless it’s ruby.) And the Liberal need to do this because, as sure as Justin playing dress up, the last thing the Liberals want is to stand on their past performance and record.

  2. As an American, I’m not familiar with this person. But I have to say I’m slightly apprehensive of her as she looks like a Barbie doll, (and Climate Barbie was a disaster). So please enlighten me. I don’t want my Canadian neighbors to vote for someone for Prime Minister just because they’re good looking (again). You’re voting for the head of government, not for Prom King or Queen.

  3. Canadian MP Ruby Dhalla, if I’m not mistaken. At first glance I always mistake her for a Kardashian.

(don’t know where she is from, just that it’s back East somewhere)

    1. She was born in Winnipeg, only served one term as MP, defeated in 2011.
She has no chance of winning the LPC leadership, even though she is very attractive.
It’s Mark Carney for PM from March 14 to Oct. election date.
Carney can do a lot of harm in seven months.

      1. She’s a real person? She looks inflatable like those US T.V. people that are famous for being famous…

      2. Canada is a joke, Carney should have to run for a vacated seat and win, in order to sit in parliament. Yes indeed, a nation of fools.

        1. He could be Prime Minister and not sit in Parliament. He has a reasonable time to get elected. Not sure whether there is a hard limit.

          1. Canada is broken, A nation of fools. Not elected, you have no say in parliament, leader or not.

    1. Yes
      Yes it does

Actually I was thinking that Freeland needed to win this for the same reasons.

  4. Ruby Dhalla comments..
“Diversity of voices in the leadership race are important. Thank you @AryaCanada for your efforts. Through your campaign you engaged many new Canadians which inspired people all across Canada.

To all of Mr Arya’s supporters, I welcome you to join our movement. I promise to stand up for you, win for our party, and fight for our country. Canada’s Comeback Starts Now! #rubyforpm”

  5. This occurred sometime in the last quarter of 2024, right before the US election:

((During her visit to Capitol Hill Dr. Ruby Dhalla met with various elected officials and their staff including Senator Ted Cruz, Senator Rick Scott, Senator Marco Rubio, Congressmen Byron Donalds, Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, and Congressman Mario Diaz-Balart))

There are photos, if you’re interested. Two guesses which of the politicians on that list put the “running for office” bug in her head. First one doesn’t count.

btw, could someone explain why seemingly intelligent people put that collagen stuff in their face. They have to know they will look like a warped marionette down the road, but they do it anyway.

  6. So is the general game plan to register and vote for Randy Boissonault to become leader of the LPC?

  7. Ruby Dhalla is running on empty.
Carney has been licking his chops for this chance to run for top job. He is an opportunist, knows the Liberals will choose him over the weakest slate of candidates ever.

  8. I saw her in an interview recently, she looked like she was on the way to Joan Rivers or Nancy Pelosi land, her lips were so blown up it looked like she had been assaulted, and it takes an airbrush and a gallon of make up to make her look good in a picture.
