  5. The grotesque part of this is what the duplicitous bastard Trudeau was trying to pull off with his mainstream media friends. He was pre-planning to have Freeland deliver the much delayed, and financially disastrous, fall economic update. Then, when the expected uproar arose, appear to make the very difficult decision that leaders are expected to make in such situations, and fire Freeland and move in a new direction. It was all theatre to play out, probably by the PMO with his encouragement. It would take the focus of the bad numbers off him – and his messaging would be he was the only one who make these “hard” decisions as a leader – with everything being blamed on Freeland. Unfortunately for him, Freeland wasn’t willing to play (as one media commentator put it, not only would this theatre result in Freeland being thrown under the bus, it involved the bus backing up onto her again). But that is the extent of my sympathy for her. She has been a terrible finance minister. Attempting to be “responsible” at this late hour is not fooling any of us either. Canada needs both of them to go, and this attempted theatre only got rid of one of them.

    1. A blogger noted today that Jagmeet is eligible for his pension now. They needed to call an election by today to deny him. If you call an election you have to allow for 38 days for the parties to prepare and he is considered employed until he loses his seat. The Christmas break and the 38 days take him past the deadline.
      I can’t swear to these facts but the person online today seemed pretty informed. Feel free to dispute this.

    Many are slated to get their pensions, but only in late Oct after Turd changed the election date.

    Wow! So does that mean…

    So…Trudeau absolutely has to go. There’s no other option. We might support him, though, if he decides to stay. Or we might not. I don’t know, we’ll see. It depends, I guess.

The turd informed the fraulien on a zoom call that she would be removed from being finance minister, but wanted her to take the fall by delivering the FES, and take the heat for the overblown budget deficit. Once removed, the turd would bring in Carney to replace the fraulien, so the turd would look like some kind of hero rescuing Canadians from the fraulien’s FES, which wasn’t hers to begin with.
        The fraulien wanted no part of that strategy, and made it clear in her resignation letter that the FES tabled was not hers, but the turd’s.

        The good news in all of this is because Freeland detonated her nuclear bomb, Carney decided to step away from the role that the turd wanted him to take. Carney wants no part of this shipwreck, and will wait things out, so we don’t have to worry about WEF Carney inflicting even more damage to the Canadian economy, although I don’t see how you can inflict more damage to the Titanic after it struck the iceburg.
