  1. Seems to me that O&G producing provinces should be together pushing back against the feds. Articles like this show there’s no interest and Trudeau’s divide & conquer routine wins.

    1. because they betray their own for a bit of powah with the overlords.
earliest large scale example comes to mind the nazi’s fwench girlfriends.
all those perks with the fwench speaking wermacht lad.
      seig hiel.

  2. We can’t get a change of government fast enough. The liberals and Dough Ford are living in la la land.

  3. Drop a few of the consonants in her name and you’ve got “Brown Eye” a euphemism for “a$$hole”.

    1. When you resort to attacking the speaker, is that a concession that their talking points are all correct and that you have no rebuttal for those arguments? So do you agree with what she wrote, but don’t like her as a person?

  4. You don’t “get along” with a malignant leviathan.
The federal authoritarians like Guilbeault are enemies of sanity.

  5. Great column from Bronwyn Eyre, RE: … “only Quebec has the ability to defend itself against encroachment on everything from federal caribou regulations to care home policy”

Canadians (unlike the US and California) actually allows one member of their small confederation to be virtually independent from any and all national policy. Further they allow only that member to have a federal political party, a party which allows no other members citizens to vote for or against its federal policies.

This is the Liberal Party’s achilles heel. All provinces, when grown up, should assume greater independence from Ottawa. Not saying Quebec has, but all should have grown up by now, which is healthy and inevitable, except for the strenuous efforts of the Liberal Party of Canada. What wasn’t inevitable was their acrimonious relationship to all provinces but one. Under Justin the corrupt Laurentian Elite may finally be circling the drain.

  6. L- Bronwyn Eyre was the brightest and most competent of the Sask Party ministers. The
cognitive dissonance in Canadian provinces is; that Quebec and the Maritime provinces,
in spite of incompetent political policies, manage to stay afloat because Ottawa steals wealth
from Western provinces. Then suppresses the very industries who produces the wealth.

This is too stupid to continue. A self-respecting, self-governing people would negotiate a
solution, one either within Confederation or without!
