Was There Nothing That Obama Couldn’t Do?

Holocaust Museum Pulls Study Absolving Obama Administration For Inaction In Face of Syrian Genocide

The intervention of the Holocaust Museum in a hot-button political dispute–and the apparent excuse of official US government inaction in the face of large-scale mass murder, complete with the gassing of civilians and government-run crematoria–alarmed many Jewish communal figures. “The first thing I have to say is: Shame on the Holocaust Museum,” said Leon Wieseltier, the literary critic and fellow at the Brookings Institution, who slammed the Museum for “releasing an allegedly scientific study that justifies bystanderism.”
The Museum’s exercise in counter-factual history, he suggested, was inherently absurd. “If I had the time I would gin up a parody version of this that will give us the computational-modeling algorithmic counterfactual analysis of John J McCloy’s decision not to bomb the Auschwitz ovens in 1944. I’m sure we could concoct the fucking algorithms for that, too.”

How could such a thing happen?

Some Jewish communal leaders suggested both privately to Tablet, and in conversations with board members and staff at the Holocaust Museum, that the Museum’s moral authority had been hijacked for a partisan re-writing of recent history, and alleged that the museum had absolved the Obama administration of any moral or political error in its response to mass atrocities in Syria. At least one of the architects of the Obama administration policy in Syria, former deputy national security advisor Ben Rhodes, was appointed to the museum’s Memorial Council during the closing days of the Obama administration.

Oh.

  1. To be socialist, is to hate Jews. To be socialist is to hate Christians, Hindus, anyone who is not socialist. To be socialist, is to desire ethnic cleansing. To be socialist is to be a mass murderer. Narcissism, sociopathy, Machiavellianism; the socialist personality.

  2. Dateline Washington DC, December 1, 2018,
The Holocaust Museum issues a report accusing the Trump Administration of Genocide for ending the Unconstitutional Deferred Action on Children of Aliens Program. The museum claimed the ending of the unconstitutional Obama Executive Order was an unconscionable attack on Hispanic minorities, after the US Congress refused to take action passing any new immigration laws.

  3. To quote what Trump said, “I am president of the United States, not president of the world.”
Obama is guilty because he encouraged Syrians to rebel and start a civil war that has killed 400,000 people. Maybe he should get another Nobel Peace Prize for that.

  4. Obama lives in the exact same swamp as the globalist-themed United Nations.
This world has witnessed almost the entire UN membership ignore repeated atrocities across this planet. They seem to get very picky and choosy when it comes to which ones to get outraged about.
This is just Team Lefty looking after their own and keeping the narrative rocking.

  5. Ben Rhodes bragged about media being a bunch of brainless simpletons who accepted any lie he told them regarding the Iran deal. Media and others still seek his opinion like it has value. Media claims they aren’t fakenews. We live in stupid times.

  6. Brings me back to something I have always wondered about. Why are Jewish people so drawn to socialism, how many German Jews voted for national socialism, and given their penchant for socialism why are Jewish people believed to have high average intelligence?
Maybe socialism is just THAT virulent of a mental illness;it is actually a communicable plague. If a socialist moves into the house next door, maybe it just gets on you and you become a mindless zombie automatically.

  7. “Maybe socialism is just THAT virulent of a mental illness;it is actually a communicable plague. If a socialist moves into the house next door, maybe it just gets on you and you become a mindless zombie automatically.” I agree with the first sentence but not the second one as we have a Save the CBC socialist two doors down and none of his neighbours vote NDP.
At the first comment by another (?) Kevin above. Bingo!

  8. FFS what do you even want? Do you actually think it would have been a good idea for Obama to follow through on his ‘red line’ threat back in 2011?

  9. “Welcome to Hell. Would you prefer smoking or non smoking?”
The article is similar to arguing that you couldn’t stop the Holocaust because the smoke from the chimneys gets in your eyes.
    “Now laughing friends deride
    Tears I cannot hide
    So I smile and say
    When a lovely flame dies
    Smoke gets in your eyes”

  10. There seems to be a small typo in the article.
“responsible for” fits in much better than “response to”.

  11. To be fair some of the claims regarding the gassing of civilians by the regime are likely not true. The August 21, 2013 gas attacks in the suburbs of Damascus were mostly likely false flags, as was the most recent sarin attack in Khan Shaykhun. It’s as close as fact as you can get that the August 2013 gas attack in Moadamiyeh was faked as none of the samples from a rebel claimed victim apartment tested positive for sarin (only by-products). This is in contrast to the Zamalka attack sites where 57% of the samples, were positive for sarin, despite having more time for the sarin to degrade.
Obama and his advisors knew there were some questionable claims by the rebels regarding gas attacks by the regime, plus he knew the UN inspectors who conveniently just arrived in Damascus in time for the Ghouta attacks had been requested not by the rebels, but the regime, to investigate the first sarin attack in April of 2013 on a regime roadblock west of Aleppo.
So it’s hard to hold him accountable for not attacking the Syria regime based on information which suggested the rebels were attempting to provoke just such an attack through the execution of false flag gas attacks.

  12. I can trace Obama’s studied inaction in Syria directly back to his preemptive Nobel Peace Prize. The Nobel Committee has the blood of Syrian children on their bony fingers. Their political “prize” effectively neutered an American President for 8-long-years. The bodies really piled-up during those 8-long-years. The more John Fitzgerald Kerry issued sternly worded ultimatums … the longer the Syrian (and Daesh) genocides persisted. Red lines were traced in the blood of children and civilians. Yes … I blame the Nobel Committee for accomplishing the exact opposite of their “mission statement” when they decided to give a half-black, RACIST, Christophobe, POTUS a Nobel Prize … for the “accomplishment” of … getting elected. Little did they know that Obama would foment a RACE WAR in America … and genocide across the planet. They awarded the American-Nero a prize for musical composition, before hearing a note of his opus.

  13. Even if one accepted your ‘false flag’ argument, the cogent response would have been to go after the ‘rebels’.
This of course would run counter to putting the stick in Putin’s geopolitical eye, as Assad’s backer. Moreover, maintaining the naval seaport in Tartus was also no small objective.

    The Kerry-Abdullah Secret Deal
    http://www.globalresearch.ca/the-secret-stupid-saudi-us-deal-on-syria/5410130
Shortly after signing with Iran and Iraq, on August 16, 2011, Bashar al-Assad’s Syrian Ministry of Oil announced the discovery of a gas well in the Area of Qarah in the Central Region of Syria near Homs. Gazprom, with Assad in power, would be a major investor or operator of the new gas fields in Syria. [7] Iran ultimately plans to extend the pipeline from Damascus to Lebanon’s Mediterranean port where it would be delivered to the huge EU market. Syria would buy Iranian gas along with a current Iraqi agreement to buy Iranian gas from Iran’s part of South Pars field.[8]
Qatar, today the world’s largest exporter of LNG, largely to Asia, wants the same EU market that Iran and Syria eye. For that, they would build pipelines to the Mediterranean. Here is where getting rid of the pro-Iran Assad is essential. In 2009 Qatar approached Bashar al-Assad to propose construction of a gas pipeline from Qatar’s north Field through Syria on to Turkey and to the EU. Assad refused, citing Syria’s long friendly relations with Russia and Gazprom. That refusal combined with the Iran-Iraq-Syria gas pipeline agreement in 2011 ignited the full-scale Saudi and Qatari assault on Assad’s power, financing al Qaeda terrorists, recruits of Jihadist fanatics willing to kill Alawite and Shi’ite “infidels” for $100 a month and a Kalishnikov. The Washington warhawks in and around the Obama White House, …, were cheering from the bleachers as Syria went up in flames after spring 2011.

  14. Actually Kenji Obama’s inaction is traceable to his birth defect AKA narcissism. Narcissists like Obama view the world as still images and not something to be worked toward or perfected. Thus Obama had a fixed idea about what his ‘presidency’ should look like and thought nothing about what to do once he attained the high office. Doing something about the gas attacks in Syria never came up on his radar screen because they did not fit his image of what his presidency should look like. Sad to say but Obama is mentally ill and not to be trusted or believed.

  15. When contemplating war, beware of babies in incubators
The babies in the incubator story is a classic example of how easy it is for the public and legislators to be mislead during moments of high tension. It’s also a vivid example of how the media can be manipulated if we do not keep our guards up.
The invented story eventually broke apart and was exposed. (I first saw it reported in December of 1992 on CBC-TV’s Fifth Estate – Canada’s “60 Minutes” – in a program called “Selling the War.” The show later won an international Emmy.) But it’s been 10 years since it happened, and we again find ourselves facing dramatic decisions about war. It is instructive to look back at what happened, in order that we do not find ourselves deceived again, by either side in the issue.
