Why this blog?
Until this moment I have been forced to listen while media and politicians alike have told me "what Canadians think". In all that time they never once asked.
This is just the voice of an ordinary Canadian yelling back at the radio -
"You don't speak for me."

For anyone interested, Milei will be at FreedomFest in Las Vegas July 10-13. He is scheduled to be a keynote speaker Saturday morning – https://www.freedomfest.com/
Fascinating guy. I hope he survives.
Just think. For Canada to consider such leadership we would have to endure a few more terms of the Spawn, declining in cultural and economic measure well beyond his accomplishments to date.
It still seems surreal that he was elected. I hope he can stay there long enough to see his policies succeed while eliminating much of leviathan. It would be a model for all nations.
A fascinating experiment, if it’s allowed to continue.
If he can tame inflation, increase GDP and reduce poverty all at the same time it will give like-minded politicians around the globe a powerful weapon.
The classic interview —

Awesome!
Milei is gambling that Trump gets elected. The US has been standoffish in entering into any growth of our two economies, and Argentina has a lot to offer. Essentially, the “socialists” in the White House are too proud and very reluctant to reach out despite the obvious benefits that both countries would enjoy.
Melei met with Trump personally a few months ago. It wasn’t really publicized. Forgive the pun, but Argentina is Trump’s trump card should he be lucky enough to gain the Oval office a second time (which I think is unlikely). Melei very purposefully moved away from the Yen and towards the dollar. The Biden administration did nothing to support or encourage that act. And a solid trade agreement with the US would put a lot of pressure on Brazil to follow in Melei’s footsteps as they lose market share with their biggest trader, Argentina.
“Argentina has a lot to offer”
hahahahahaha
Just another second world “coulda been” sh*th*le. Always gonna be a great place “soon” if they can only get rid of their eternal corruption, shiftless populace and cultural malaise.
Nothing but a nation of layabouts, gimmedat opportunists and soccer cheats.
For dollarization to be beneficial, the USD must be stable which requires an independent fed that isn’t afraid to keep interest rates where they need to be. Trump has explicitly stated that he wants to undermine that even more than he did during his disastrous time in office. Milei’s support of Orange Peron is a black mark on his judgement.
Milesi is for sure one of my new heroes, together with the old ones: Churchill, Reagan, and Thatcher.
Argentina, like Canada, should be one of the richest countries in the world. We both keep electing governments that squander our wealth with high taxes and idiotic policies.
Singapore has a per capita GDP of $122,000. Canada is $60,000.
