    1. ‘The worst thing about affirmative action is it created a Clarence Thomas’ – NAACP

Hey! NAACP! Thank you for confirming race based college admissions has little to do with advancing “colored people” … but everything to do with advancing Marxism.

    2. “I wish Canada had a supreme court like what the U.S. has.”

The idiot Stephen Harper appointed Supreme Court judges, 100% of whom were recommended by the Liberal Party of Canada. Apparently he didn’t realize he could appoint whomever the hell he wanted.

      1. Shrug. All judges were lawyers; all lawyers are law school graduates, all law school profs are lefties. And there is a VERY good chance that your average law student comes from a left-leaning family.

      2. Typical critic of Stephen Harper. Doesn’t know his ass from a hole in the ground. Somebody remind this hsithead of what happened when Harper tried to appoint who he wanted. Ask Beverley McLachlan about it.

    3. All those on the canadian court are socialists if not outright communists. The US court is getting that way as well.

  1. Many universities will find indirect surrogates for race-based admissions to achieve the same thing. California public universities have already developed such techniques, as race-based admissions has been illegal for them since 1996. A key component is getting rid of SAT and similar admissions tests, which is now well underway.

    1. They will be vulnerable to legal action if they use any surrogate whose result is discrimination for or against any “ race “. High academic achieving Asian applicants in the Harvard case were, I believed denied admission by just such proxies for race – a personal interview; Asian applicants routinely earned extremely low scores as a group, as opposed to African -Americans.

If Harvard and all others continue with racial proxies, they are vulnerable also to large civil awards for their now-demonstrated violations of non-black student’s civil rights; specifically all citizens right to equal protection by US laws ( 14th Amendment).

      Wasn’t “race”

      1. “They will be vulnerable to legal action if the effect is to discriminate based on race.”

I disagree. If a university gave preference to students from poorer families or regions, for example, then they would generally be discriminating in favour of Black students and against White and Asian. But such preferences are perfectly legal.

        1. No, giving preference to poorer students is discrimination based on economic status, not race. Wealthy and middle class African Americans would not gain any advantage in such a system from their “race”.

          1. Well that’s the trick, isn’t? To increase racial diversity without explicitly favouring race.

    2. If I had an Asian high school aged child I would legally change his name to Lamont Jefferson

    3. Killer Marmot:

I agree 100%. Work arounds will be found.
This form of racism is now a full fledged industry.
And as to being vulnerable to legal action.
      Ha ha!

  2. This will definitely turn some people on their ear.

Could it be that merit is resurging? No, that’s not likely.

  3. They’ll do it anyway; and the more vulnerable (or litigious) ones likely already are colluding among themselves to determine a new Supreme-Court-non-triggering label they can slap-on undesirables to continue excluding them. These are just the same teacher profession who declared they’re not bound by law in social justice / 1619 Project / DEI matters – and pious virtue-signalling overrides all other considerations, including the law.

After all, has Oberlin College paid its damages to Gibson’s Bakery yet? Do they plan to do so, or are they instead devoting all their efforts to weasel-out of “paying a d@mn cent to those racists!!!”?

    1. I believe they finally paid, a month or two ago.

Selling EV’s is like pushing a rope up a hill. It never works.

    2. From Wikipedia…

“In December 2022, Gibson’s Bakery received $36.59 million from Oberlin College, all of the money owed to it.”

  4. So Jackson and Sotomayor were unconstitutionally nominated to the Supreme Court.
    They should resign.

    1. Agreed. Two woman of color UNQUALIFIED to sit on any court.

      They are both incompetent.

    1. I can’t remember what decade the inJustice Department ceased concerning itself with the rule of law. It needs to be thrown on the same bonfire with the FBI.

  5. Supreme Court decisions are absolutely schizophrenic – no cohesion to them whatsoever. I think like all the lettered agencies, political leadership, media etc, they are corrupted – either willingly or by threat.

    1. I busted a gut when they did a bit about Matt Walsh losing on Jeopardy! when answering every clue with ‘What is a woman?’

      1. My fave recent one was Biden announcing that all wild fires must be electric by 2025

  6. Maybe the way to end racial discrimination is to stop discriminating by race?

Discriminating against Asians? Do these highly credentialed, self centered, over-educated, parochial elitists realize how many different Asian groups there are? Each with its own traditions, languages, and culture? Just look at the “Chinese.” How many different languages, and cultures are contained in the country of China alone?

Then again, these are same genius people that think Hispanic means “Mexican.” Ignoring all the differences in culture from Cubans, Puerto Ricans, South Americans, and Central Americans.

“I have a dream that my four little children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin, but by the content of their character.”

  7. Good to see that Harvard (and UNC) got bitch slapped for their AAPI HATE … their systemic, institutionalized, ASIAN HATE. Sayyyyyyy … ?? Is it AAPI Pride month or something?

  8. I predict Harvard and UNC will increase the quota allotted to Asian heritage students.

The Supreme Court did not say what admissions of Asian students would have been without racial discrimination, but if the anti-Asian bias had been absent, they clearly thought Asian admissions would have been higher.

If Harvard revamps admissions, and the Asian proportion remains the same, they will face a blizzard of lawsuits, and worse, extremely bad press.

  9. This needs to apply in the workplace too.

I’d love to have a boss who’s qualified to do the job beyond being a homosexual or a woman on color.

  10. It’s hilarious to hear all the racists and sexists moaning about how colleges will now become primarily white and male.

  11. You will never have peace and harmony in a multi ethnic/multicultural state anyway, so every effort to bring it about is a waste of time and energy. We live in a third world shithole now. Recognize it and plan accordingly.

  12. Three decades of institutionalized racism promoted by the party of the KKK. More banana republic crap.
Lest We Forget: they are better than the rest of us.
