The movies “Escape from Los Angeles” and “Escape from New York City” were more prescient than science fiction.
My daughter and I won a trip to NYC in 2005 for a long weekend. The city was beautiful, there were tubs of flowers on street corners and there were police patrolling in pairs. We felt very safe. And in 1974, I took part in a class trip for final year of university to Chicago and had a wonderful time. I would not want to go to any Democrat controlled city now. Heck, I don’t even want to go to Toronto anymore, and I have long standing friends there!
