    Of course not. They never develop one because they see no need.

    Humour is what we mammals use to convince other mammals that we have only just met that we intend them no harm.

    It has evolved from the nervous display of teeth that we can still see in primates. They are not smiling, they are nervous and while not outright wishing to attack, they want us to know they can still bite.

    Having become nervous the emotional release at discovering they don’t need to bite another primate to death is a pleasant experience. Hence as we evolved we began to expose our teeth for pleasure and tell jokes to strangers in order to not only demonstrate we mean no harm, but as a source of pleasure in itself.

    The important thing in this discussion is the idea that telling someone a joke helps them relax. It is how you open conversations with strangers and/or people who might disagree with you.

    Which is why Lefties don’t develop a sense of humour. You are either already part of the progressive, or an enemy. If you are part of them then they don’t need to break the ice, if you are not they don’t want to talk to you.

    Humour is a communication tool. Lefties don’t see a need.

    1. Telling a joke is a litmus test fot Wokeness. There is a strong tendency for Woke folk to be humorless. They put feminists to real shame.
      One has to be careful, though, in telling a joke to someone who thinks they’re Woke, as they are always on the lookout for a victim legal lottery situation.

  13. As far as Tucker Carlson’s suggestion, flippant or otherwise, one wonders how much liberation we would enjoy if Americans removed our government. I would rather wait until they remove their own government first.

  18. I’d like a formal apology from Alan Alda for the threat he made in the Canadian Bacon documentary. Uttering the words ” surrender pronto or we’ll level Toronto” has left me shaking in my mukluks.
