    1. Funny you should bring this up. In addition to the other anti-democratic actions, like imprisoning his opposition, or banning media that isn’t the state broadcaster, the little demon just banned the Ukraine Orthodox Church, claiming that the Church was an agent of Russia.

He’s not scoring too high on the democratic scale now, isn’t he?

      1. Ugh the factions of the church that got banned are active agents of russia. It has been consistently acting as russian fifth colum. Activities were not just limited to propaganda but to giving shelter to russian agents for example. And of course the head of the church patriarch Kirill has been consistently supporting Pootin and his genocide.

          1. Yeah there seems to be a lot of confusion what is being banned. See my reply with link to fc below.

        1. Did he have to ban the ENTIRE church? Couldn’t he have just rooted out the agents and leave the rest of the church alone? Is every Christian in Ukraine a Russian agent? Because that would be the only justification for such an action.

          1. “Did he have to ban the ENTIRE church? ”

“nation’s largest and oldest branch of Christian Orthodoxy to be outlawed as long as it continues to answer to church leaders in Moscow.”

“The war has strained relationships between the Orthodox Church of Ukraine and the Russian-centered Ukrainian Orthodox Church of the Moscow Patriarchate, reports The New York Times. The Russian-centered church declared independence from Moscow and condemned the war, but it has ties to the Russian Orthodox Church.”

In short: russian orthodox church is a political institution controlled by Kremlin, and as such it, and its subsidiaries need to be banned (preferably worldwide).

          2. ” Is every Christian in Ukraine a Russian agent?”

Every Christian is not being targeted. Stop being ridiculous. Catholics or protestants are doing great. Orthodox have a problem that has been lingering for a long time. And the problem is political. There is no separation of church and state in Orgrimmar. They tried to formally make the church independent of russia by subordinating it to patriarch of Constantinople not of Moscovy. But that appears to be only a nominal cange. It was a great f*** you to orcs, but of little practical value the old allegiances remained. I suspect this will require a reform of church structures and administration and purging the pro orc elements to solve (nothing of value will be lost).

P.S. Unlike russia Ukraine has freedom of religion and protestant churches are recognized and not persecuted.

      2. I’ll go with Zelensky is a little demon playing a big role. Some of the bigger demons are worried about what happened to some of their looted taxpayer money and wondering if the little demon may be ripping them off on the side. LOL, no doubt he is.

        1. The GOP is worried about where the money is going in Ukraine. They want an accounting over where the billions the US has been sending has been going. Once the change over takes place in congress expect things to tighten up.

Ukraine is a very corrupt place, replete with it’s own oligarchs who are not unlike their ruskie counterparts.

          1. I was of the understanding that a considerable amount of that money had bee redirected back to the Demoncrats, in an interesting variation on the concept of “State” funded elections.

            Any updates?

    2. They would do a lot better to look closer to home perhaps.

On a spiritual level this conflict is between two competing forms of evil, in my view, the neo-Stalinist death cult of Putin vs globalism which I don’t need to explain to anyone here, a sort of Kingdom substitute with billionaires as archangels.

We the people are caught in between these two camps, neither of which is remotely close to any ideal we might recognize. However, the basic fact is that Russia are in the wrong just by showing up where they did, and doing what they did. The ordinary people of Ukraine are no more responsible for globalism than anyone else other than the actual perpetrators whom Putin cannot reach or attack (if that were his motive, I think he’s just using that rhetoric to cover up economic and political goals that are basically an unstated desire to return to the glory days of the USSR, with Putin as general secretary).

It’s dangerous and should be brought to a conclusion sooner rather than later, but with the kind of leadership we have in NATO countries today (senile, girls of various gender, opportunists and such), there is no real chance that people will force Zelensky to accept terms. In the abstract you can’t blame him, but it would be a crazy end to the human experiment if we all died in a nuclear holocaust that started over the choice between rival gangsters to rule eastern Ukraine.

Not many people in Russia are gaining anything from this failed experiment of Putin, and I’m genuinely surprised that he hasn’t been taken out. It could happen any day, but from where the blows will come, it’s hard to foresee.

What the Russian “intellectuals” might want to consider is that in the end time (since they must think this is it to be talking about antichrist) a beast state emerges and goes to war with Babylon, in particular, the whore of Babylon. I think it’s pretty clear if you wanted to look at this situation from a prophetic point of view who is who in that confrontation. As to (capital A) Antichrist, a lot of believers think that it’s more of a “spirit of antichrist” that arises, there may be one particular individual who leads that, but at this stage, we already have a spirit of antichrist raging in the modern world, and leadership just amounts to the cloning of a certain type of person, lose one of them and another would pop up immediately. There’s only one Putin however, and chances are that any replacement might see things more sensibly and back off this form of confrontation with globalism, as Russians are chess players it seems like this is an all-out surrender of power pieces in the hope that a couple of pawns can achieve a checkmate.

      1. Its not about “eastern Ukraine” and it’s not globalists orchestrating the events behind the war. Russians have faced the threat of annihilation by NAZIS bankrolled by Anglo bankers and supplied by American industrialists and troops blessed by the priests/ministers of Christendom before.

          1. Orcs don’t get to speak for “Slavic people” (they are neither).
            Thank you for calling.

        1. As if annihilation of russia was a bad thing… but no, every part of the above is nonsense.

Russia is only facing annihilation because of internal problems like russians routinely drinking themselves to death, aborting their litters at rates higher than they give life births too and the growth of mooselimb population within… and those are all good things.

      2. “I’m genuinely surprised that he hasn’t been taken out.”

That may have merit if you believe Putin is the biggest baddest war-hawk in the Kremlin. There are plenty of experts who say he’s not, in that he’s a cog in the machine, a powerful one, but a front-man nonetheless who is far more patient and evenhanded than some of his potential replacements waiting in the wings.

      3. Putin, replacement, coming soon?

I have no idea especially about his physical or mental condition as I have no real knowledge about this subject.

However, there is breaking news from the Not-News-Network that makes me go hmmmm.

        Putin Pooping Pants

        1. The Joe Biden vs Vova Pootin stair climbing contest may be more interested than predicted a year ago.

    3. Silly Russians are wasting their time. Zelensky doesn’t meet all the check-offs of the antichrist. He’s not even on the radar in the West which has spent 1000 +++ years researching the topic. Many evangelicals are flocking to Trump and this is making others nervous with some pointing the finger at Trump. Demonic agent or Antichrist? All will be revealed at Trump’s second coming.

      1. Speaking of evangelicals, are you aware that they are recognized in Ukraine but not in Orgrimmar? You can chew on that for a bit, but not too long.

    1. We have known about mass hysteria, mass insanity and mass stupidity for a long time now, changing the name doesn’t change the reality.

  1. Christmas Eve homemade tortiere and a chewy Merlot, then on to the Christmas Day turkey with the special buttermilk raspberry pie for dessert.

  2. What are some of my favorite treats this time of year?

Same as the rest of the year: BEER!

I’m an unapologetic craft beer snob & have a number of bombers (22 oz/650 ml) in storage in a cool room in the basement. This time of year I break out the big, dark, beauties. Bourbon barrel aged Imperial stouts at 12% or more that have been ageing for >5 years. American & English barleywines, American Strong Ales, chewy Russian Imperial stouts, inky CDA’s, hoppy triple IPA’s, Imperial porters, outstanding brews I’ve paid as much as $50/bottle for.

Mostly American brewed, some Canadian. My highest ABV is a bourbon barrel aged Imperial stout bottled by Avery at 17.1%, my oldest is a 2011 chile beer by Stone, followed by a number of barrel aged Imperial stouts from 2013, brewed by Fifty Fifty, Deschutes & Nickel Brook.

    That’s my Christmas candy.

    1. I drink locally brewed beer as I call it.
There is Budweiser in the beer fridge…and that’s for visitors, even at Christmas.

    1. Colon

So acting like many priests and churches did when the NAZI’s took over eh..??

Ukrainian propaganda – with your name all over it.

      1. Wrong thread but never mind. Remind me again, why are Nazis supposed to be worse than russians?

  3. I wouldn’t trust that rat Mendocino to tell the truth if his very life depended on it. The record has already exposed his lies numerous times over, especially at the EA hearings.

If he’s promising compensation for firearms suddenly being declared illegal, you’d better ask for that money up front first.

    1. Christmas gumbo wouldn’t fly in this family but hubby and I love it! It’s all about the roux, IMO, and that takes time. I have yet to find a decent andouille sausage where I live. On the rare occasion we go into the St. Lawrence Market in Toronto, I’ll buy some at The Sausage King; his is pretty good. Finding decent okra is also hit and miss.

      1. Yes but for different reasons. Ukrainians don’t want to be raped, russians don’t want to have competition among rapists. Also Islam is growing faster in russia than in Europe.

      1. “You might get a late night visit from the red-shirted Young Liberals.”

Bring ’em. I’m all over a little, late night conversion…

      2. Reader

late nite visits by red shirted libs eh….??
        ….awesome, a # 30 Louisville slugger at hand…

  4. Queen of Sheba (or, for those of you in Quebec, Reine de Saba) cake, from a recipe in a cookbook by Julia Child. It will clog your arteries in no time at all, but its mixture of chocolate, almond, and coffee flavors is wonderful.

  5. Original very old recipe for Christmas Sugar Plums

    Sugar Plums. 2.5 dozen

    1 ½ cups (150 g) walnuts, lightly toasted*
    1 cup (175 g) pitted prunes
    1 cup (150 g) dried cherries
    ½ cup (75 g) raisins
    ½ cup (80 g) pitted dates
    3 pieces (20 g) candied ginger, chopped
    zest of 1 orange
    1 tsp (3 g) ground cinnamon
    1 tsp (3 g) ground ginger
    ½ tsp (1.5 g) ground anise seed
    ¼ tsp (1 g) ground clove
    ¼ tsp (1 g) ground allspice
granulated or decorator’s sugar, for rolling

    Directions

    1. Pulse the walnuts, prunes and cherries first, until the walnut pieces become the texture of crumbs. Add the raisins, dates, candied ginger, orange zest, cinnamon, ginger, anise seed, clove and allspice and pulse until evenly texture (the mixture will not come together like a dough.)

    2. Transfer the mixture to a bowl and scoop spoonfuls of the mixture and shape into balls by rolling in your palms. Roll the sugar plums in sugar to coat completely and place each in a paper cup. Store the sugar plums in an airtight container.

The sugar plums will keep up to a month in an airtight container.

    * To toast the walnuts, preheat the oven to 350 F (180 C). Spread the walnuts in a single layer on a baking tray or pie plate and toast for about 15 minutes, until they brown a little. Cool before using or storing in an airtight container.

    1. As they like to say “you need to break a few eggs to make an omelette” – we have one hell of an omelette full of shells and it’s getting bigger each year.

      1. Jumped out of the window and was considerate enough to close it behind him (from the inside). Another russian tradition.

  6. Vaccination obligation; fines are coming to no Vax

    December 1, 2022

Even with the Meloni government, the No Vax over 50s will get fines of 100 euros for failing to comply with the vaccination obligation. Today, November 30, the 180 days set to justify failure to comply with the vaccination obligation, for health reasons or because they had contracted the coronavirus in the meantime, expire. And the first fines would have already started.

This is almost two million fines for as many recipients who did not get vaccinated by last June 15, the date on which the vaccination obligation for over-50s expired.

ITALY: CONSTITUTIONAL COURT SAYS PM HAS POWER TO OBLIGE CITIZENS TO BE DEATHVAXXED

In a decision which was expected and feared, after the Council of State appointed one of Mario Draghi’s personal lawyers as a member of the Constitutional Court, the Court decreed the end of all semblance of order, right, democracy and justice in the Italian Republic.

For in a case which sought to overturn the decrees of the last two governments which by a dictate of the President of the Council of Ministers (that is the name for the Italian Prime Minister) imposed the outrage of an obligation to receive the DeathVaxx upon all sanitary workers, police and teachers, the Constitutional Court judged yesterday that it was not unconstitutional for him to decree an obligation to be DeathVaxxed for any specific class of Italian residents.

The 5 legal experts who brought the case in defense of their clients rights to bodily autonomy, emphasized all the glaringly constitutionally contrary aspects of these decrees of the past governments.

    Alas, to no avail.

Even at their request that judges appointed by the past two governments be recused, the president of the Court defiantly refused all discussion.

The sentence regarded the decrees of the Conte and Draghi governments, but it has set a diabolic monstrous precedent.

So now the Italian Republic is no longer even a state or legal convention. One party, the political elite, has arrogated to itself the right to murder, maim and genetically transform everyone in Italian territory.

What does this mean for Italians?

It means that they now have the natural and Christian RIGHT and DUTY, to no longer obey the government in anything, to not pay any taxes whatsoever, to report nothing to the government, to bear any kind of arms, whatsoever, and to undertake any moral means to overthrow the Italian Republic, even with the use of violent force.

I advise everyone who cannot stomach what is about to come to get out of Italy. And I have myself resolved to flee at the soonest possibility: as it is pure insanity to risk living in a territory where you can be lawfully murdered at any moment.

Italians are universally shocked to the core about this sentence. They now literally have no legal recourse to any other action than flight or violent revolution. And it is not me, who is saying it, it’s being said from the heights of the Alps to the shores of Sicily.

There is talk of reforming the Constitutional Court, since, as I hear, one cannot impeach its justices. But I think it is unrealistic to think the political class, given such power, will ever give it back. Those politicians who embrace this ruling may, however, be signing their death-warrant if a revolution breaks out.

The only way to avoid civil order, as far as I can see, is if the present government of Giorgia Meloni announces immediately that they will introduce a bill to change the rules of the Constitutional Court, effectively reforming in one manner or another.

TRANSLATION of Tweet below: If the Constitutional court passes the Vaccine Obligation, civil war will break out: let everyone descend into the piazza in every city of Italy every Saturday, until they undo such a verdict authorizing the State to commit genocide.

    1. Yum. Conservative Tree house used to do a Christmas recipe theme. It was great, but a bit overwhelming. I am a big fan of homemade cheese stix. Just mix pie dough with lots of cheddar cheese ( preferably old cheddar). Roll out flat and cut into small rectangular shapes. You can brush with egg white and sprinkle with paprika before baking. Place on s cookie sheet and bake. I use a pie crust mix. Makes it very easy,

  7. I like fruit cake and a coupla weeks back I made 20. I have 20+ lbs of fruit in my cake, 4lbs of pecans – you get the picture. I give most of them away. It’s a xmas thing.

I like free beer but if I have to buy then I like cheap beer.

  8. Media Lobbyists Try to Attach JCPA to Defense Bill, Playing Games with National Security
    https://www.breitbart.com/tech/2022/12/02/media-lobbyists-try-to-attach-jcpa-to-defense-bill-playing-games-with-national-security/

Supporters of the Journalism Competition and Preservation Act (JCPA), desperate to secure a Silicon Valley gravy train for the world’s largest and wealthiest media companies while allowing them to censor conservative media, are now playing games with U.S. national security, with a last-ditch attempt to attach the JCPA to the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA), a “must-pass” bill to fund the U.S. armed forces.
