The House That Trudeau Built

Let me guess compost toilets, solar panel power and a life time supply of cockroach milk?

Financial Post- Canada to fund ‘rent-to-own’ program under $2-billion housing plan

The funding, earmarked in previous budgets, would go toward creating some 17,000 new homes across the country, including more rapid housing for the homeless or those at risk of becoming homeless, along with affordable and market-rate housing projects.

  1. Are they not planning in accommodating hundreds of thousands immigrants into hotels right now?
    And this is the solution?

    Makes no sense to me.
And none are currently built…just in current concept form.

    1. People used to have a rent to own program. It involved working hard and being able to save money.

      1. Of course they aren’t built yet.
        But you knew that.
There must be an election coming soon.

    2. The government will farm the Cockroaches that will be teeming in the hotels the immigrants will move into.

  2. about 120000 per unit. and 250 per sq ft. a lot of 500 sq ft houses. or 250 square ft. in the trona area for their voters.

  3. I don’t know about others but I have been getting a lot of Trudeau news feed (all praiseworthy) on my web page (or Freeland sob stories about bad people mocking her) and now I’m getting Rob Ford is bad stories again. Did he cancel some MSM payments or something?

    1. Re Ford, probably some stiffs that didn’t get a plate sticker rebate cause they didn’t pay their parking ticket fines.

        1. Oh I tried but voting for yourself, scribbling your nom de plume in , tends to go nowhere.

    2. “Did he cancel some MSM payments or something?”

Potato no longer needs him as a bottom bitch. Useful idiot did his job crushing protesting truckers and is no longer useful.

      1. You’re not at all convincing. You would gladly lick Potato’s sphincter squeaky clean when it comes to Ukraine and Elenskyyy.

        1. Point of order: can our unbiased moderator determine if the above counts as “inappropriate post”. Or are Broshevicks exempt?

  4. Isn’t “rent to own” a mortgage without the mortgage qualification tests? ie: Canada .gov is now in the business of NINJA mortgages?

    1. My thought too.

I bought a TV on rent to own 30 years ago, (just finished paying it off).

      1. Related but not really.. Anyone watch “Redacted” and see the report on ALL support sent to Uke being stolen .An entire train, plus shipping containers etc?.. Love their show on youtube by the way! Stolen by Zelinski people by the way.. Not sure how this got reported and it bloodying Zalinskis nose.

  5. I’m looking for a good used RV.
Might have to be a wood burner..
National Parks, Provincial areas and such are looking more attractive every day.
The future “Living under a Bridge” possessing only what you can carry and defend..
    Futures so bright..

    1. Better check park prices & availability -locals already reserving for next year & campsite (electrical) prices rivaling cheap hotels

  6. Also included: pricing those who used to be middle class out of detached, semi detached or townhouse dwellings. You will all live in Khrushchyovka,

… also no parking but easy access to mass transit.

All hail mass immigration, the Trojan horse of communism.

  7. Turdo had a little house
    Built from spite and spit
    Like everything that turdo touched
    It turned to ******g shit.

  8. Money Boy should combine the housing money with the gay alphabet money and just build a bunch of big f*****g zoos.

  9. I sit here in BC and notice all these properties that sit vacant, having been bought up and awaiting development (and they ask why there’s a housing shortage). Inflation is up, interest rates are up, unemployment is up (while lots of places are looking for workers), and housing prices are dropping, Developers and realtors, undouubtedly contributors to our politicos, must be looking for a bailout. And our politicos having reduced our economy to building houses and high rises, come through!

  10. Re: the cockroach “milk” … why is it that so-called “Health and Wellness” websites always embrace the INSANITY of all this bug-eating crap? Yeah, yeah … all the cow milk hormones are turning us gay or Trans … right? Good Gawwwd … the utter INSANITY of taking this serious. Calls into question all the other “healthy” beliefs they profess.

  11. Not to worry, All.
I am sure this expenditure has passed the scrutiny of our highly functional Parliament, involved as they all are with government budgeting and policy.
That’s why we elect over 300 of them, right?
So that we don’t descend into an arbitrary rule-by-whim of a few idealogues?
    Parliament, right?
    Hello? Anyone there?

  12. Nothing green for open border Canada.. I don’t care how many bugs you eat.. Oh and BTW.. Nobody moves to the other side of the world to live in the projects.. The idea is, get a double garage so you can park 4 cars on your driveway.. They want the good life in SPADES..

    1. Yep, look at Brampton, ON. BTW most of the cars in the driveways there are Bimmers and Lexi. Only the pizza delivery guys drive North American beaters.

  13. Gosh, what a great idea! Take that, inflation! 2008 all ovah again! Allowing 430K+ immigrants into the country, to boot! No inflationary pressure from that, either. Dingbats.

  14. The push and pull of population and the basic services they require.. They are not saving the planet, but themselves.. The suburbs is the most expensive solution.. The government, our government doesn’t want to pay for infrastructure anymore.. They want us all in apartments and condos..

How do you kill the suburbs?.. You kill the car.. Stack those tax payers up on top of each other.. :).. They have run the models $$$ on how to squeeze as much money as they can out of the people, giving the bare minimum back..

And you thought you were saving the world?.. Fun fact, its not possible to save the world..

  15. SAN ANDREAS ARCHIPELAGO
Time to go long on Quonset hut manufacturers. In China.

And the government says, “We have helped you to reduce your carbon footprint substantially. We know you feel much better NOW, and THAT your self esteem has grown exponentially. As soon as you say, “Thank You, master, for your kindness, tolerance and assistance,” you may return to your cot.

  16. 400K immigration requires about 100K -150K new residences. Just reduce immigration by 4-5000 and the same results are accomplished without spending a cent. At $25K processing fee for each immigrant (statscan), not including ongoing maintenance payments, that translates to a saving of $100-125M annually on top of the (under financed) $2B program. $2B for 17000 units is $117.6K per unit – what bureaucratic fantasy is this?
Sorry, can’t afford government help – less government returns a better roi.
