It appeared to be a timely bit of good news in BC’s glacial 35-year modern treaty talks, when David Eby’s NDP government introduced two new treaties for provincial approval in April, with a third expected to follow shortly.
That moment of apparent progress came as Eby was forced into a series of humiliating back-downs on his efforts to rein in the UN Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples and its threat to upset the legal basis of British Columbia’s existence. The political leadership of BC’s 203 indigenous communities simply vetoed Eby’s proposed changes and deferrals, raising the question of whether the province has lost its authority to govern.
Treaties hammered out over decades with the K’omoks First Nation on Vancouver Island and the Kitselas First Nation on the northwest coast were tabled in the BC legislature for ratification, with a third treaty for the Kitsumkalem First Nation in the northwest expected to follow. The protests began even before they were introduced.
I take some pleasure knowing that
One- the voters got what they voted for good and hard
Two- that the virtue signalling politicians in this instance had to experience the outcomes of their bad decisions

No law the BC government has passed in relation to Indians is legal. They have no power to give anything away. Jurisdiction is exclusively federal.
The feds were in on it. The BC government owns most of the Crown land and until the NDP got in the act under Harcourt, they didn’t have to wade into the quagmire of treaties as it was a federal responsibility. I was involved in treaty negotiations representing local government for a year or so 25 years ago and the feds had a big grin on their faces that the suicidal empaths of the NDP were all keen to hand over (provincial) Crown land and sing Kumbaya. They were out gunned by the Indians who have been playing the long game as long as they have had nothing else to do (it’s not as if they had to work for a living). The NDP were/are desperate for treaties and the Indians knew it and waited them out until they got everything on their terms. They even have their own people in the BC NDP cabinet, not unlike Trudeau giving Jodi Wilson Raybould the Indian claims file where she ordered all settlements to be negotiated rather than litigated. There isn’t even any quid pro quo in any of these treaties which means the negotiations can simply continue for more reinforcement and inversion of apartheid to fully enslave all non indigenous suicidal empaths. Race-based communism will come to Canada not through the ballot box but from the negotiating table and robed legislators. Any real reversal now will likely include bloodshed, decades of lawfare, constitutional amendments, or separation / civil war.
Of this I know:
In the late 1990s when the Glen Clark regime was on its last legs, that NDP government struck a treaty deal with the Nisga’a Indian Band (NW BC coast). That treaty included the provision that if any other BC band got a better treaty deal, the Nisga’a treaty would automatically be amended to include those more advantageous provisions.
At that time, BC Indian bands laid claim to 128% of BC.
Looks like things haven’t improved, at least for all the honkies living there.
It will be interesting when the other Indians (7-11 versus liquor store) eventually take over BC.
Asians outnumber FN’s already.
Again, I noticed on my drive to Ottawa, that people from SE Asian (aka India) have taken over the gas stations, Circle K and the 7-11 Stores. All the places which I stopped for gas, gave great customer service.
My late sister was a credentialed evaluator and also did a lot of work in human resources. The First Nations have a “loose attachment to the workplace” in HR speak. This means that they only show up on the day on which they receive their pay cheques.
So basically the Indians are circling the wagons and the BC government doesn’t even have guns.
You COULD just re-conquer them.
