from 1970 $1.80 an hour mainframe computer operator to
1975 part time same place and TAXI DRIVER to
1975 huge promotion, senior computer operator 200 km away wound up equivalent
$75,000 in todays dollars by 1985 pd for 1st and 2nd house buuuuuuut this is 40 years on,
almost 2 generations past. its all different.
friday l drove past the empty lot where the huge local newspaper building used to be.
smashing it down last year l suspect has to do with property taxes on a commerical bldg.
