This is a technical breakthrough but poses many dangers for all employed in Hollywood specifically and our society more generally. Imagine politicians saying things or doing things that they never actually did. Imagine seeing videos of white police officers beating up black people … that never happened. Do you think that China and other nefarious actors on the world stage are going to hesitate to inject such propaganda into western social media?

  3. Don’t believe half of what you hear than what you see. Not “see” on a video screen … but what you see in-person, firsthand.

    As an analog audio enthusiast… tubes and vinyl, Micro-seki turntables and Koetsu cartridges … I predict an eventual backlash to the digital deconstruct of our society, and a return to REAL life.

    Vinyl audio shouldn’t exist anymore, yet it keeps getting more and more popular in the digital age.

      I am too poor to buy new, so I am an avid buyer and seller of gently used, perfect, equipment. And I’ve actually bought from Wayne before … I’ve even been to his home in Fontana, CA. He’s a fabulous man … a retired Asian Electrical Engineer. And I’d love to relieve him of this Rosewood Signature cart.

  4. given how readily a huge portion of the swirling masses swallow what the see/hear/etc unfiltered, and repeat the gossip, it does not bode well. we are headed for a time when Big Brother’s 2 minutes of hate is a real thing. guess who Big Brother is, guess who the target of the hate is, guess who is doing the loud hating on cue.
