Is there any hope for the legacy media?

Tony Dokoupil, the new CBS News Anchor, recently published this:

I wish him the very best in his new role. I sincerely do.

But the fact that he didn’t include this clip, especially the part at the end where the ICE officer was struck by the woman’s vehicle, leads a reasonable person to conclude that he’s not sincere in his promise to be fair & balanced.

Here’s an honest discussion of why no one with an IQ over 65 trusts anyone in the legacy media. Correction: Why no one should.

  1. When they say “we owe our children” [to tell the truth] you know that bull-shit is just ahead.

  2. The guy is an asshole. The shooting was black and white. The communist B-word tried to run down a cop and died for her efforts.

  3. I am going fully politically incorrect. The other woman is not her wife, but is her partner and Renee Good is an accessory in her own death. Did you see the smie on her face, before she pushed the accerator pedal? Hopefully her children get pit into a good foster home.

  4. See how this works? He said … “We must find a way to live with those who are genuinely different than us.”. What does that even mean? I need to find a way to live with those who are TALLER than me? What a garbage sentence.

Here’s what the “old” CBS News would have said … “We must find a way to live with those who LOOK different than us.”

Use the exact same recognizable phrase … substitute one undefined squishy word … and claim you’re being “balanced” or something. They’re not. And PS … the woman had no relationship with her first two children.

It’s like saying FUCK Drumpf! … and then claim you’ve said nothing derogatory about Trump.

  5. I got a kick out of that ass Frey who babbled something about how he was pleased that the “demonstrators” didn’t “take the bait” by “agitators” in the demonstrators. You can see that he is trying to pretend that the “agitators” are anything but his own Sturmabteilung who are just waiting for his orders to start the riots. Frankly I wouldn’t give a rat’s ass if Minneapolis burned itself to the ground.

  6. Minneapolis. They’re going to bake it, after all.
With apologies to Mary T Moore.
Throw hats in the air! Elbows Up!.
    Coo Coo Ka Chew!
    Turning point yet???

  7. I’ve said this before and I’ll say it again: ICE lacks the training to be traffic police, yet in the Minneapolis incident involving Renee Good they acted as if they were, with tragic results. The breach of protocols for standard police behavior in this incident were exceptionally numerous.

First off, does ICE have the legal authority to arrest people for blocking a lane with a vehicle if those persons are not the target of an immigration investigation? Would the more sensible option have been to inform local police and let them handle it?

Secondly, protocol dictates that law enforcement officers do not walk in front or behind a vehicle unless it is turned off, for very good and obvious reasons. The agent who shot this woman clearly didn’t get that memo. In ignoring protocol, he created a situation in which deadly force might have to be used. He actually bears responsibility for following these protocols and if he is not at least severely sanctioned for this, we are well on the way to becoming a police state where cops can do whatever they want without fear of prosecution.

Thirdly, is it normal for police to approach a vehicle by yelling at the driver to “get the f*** out of the car!” and bang on the door? It’s not as if Osama Bin Laden was the driver and the car was full of explosives. Wouldn’t it be more sensible to inform the driver that they are under arrest and inform them as to why? I guess the ICE agent doing that didn’t get that memo either.

Further to the issue of shooting the driver: that’s exceptionally dangerous and that’s why it is to be avoided. An injured driver is likely to drive erratically, either out of panic from severe pain or involuntary muscle spasms as they die, which appears to be what happened in this case. Shooting them twice more as they passed by won’t improve things. The second and third shots are the main reason why I believe that this agent’s actions amounted to murder. But again, that ICE agent didn’t get that memo. I don’t know what makes me sicker: the fact that this woman died so needlessly, or the fact that legions of armchair psychopaths appear so eager to either laugh about her death or view it as a matter of some leftist “getting what she deserved”. As an aside, Matt Walsh’s social media missives on that topic have been particularly odious.

    1. Another armchair “expert”. The car was a weapon, end of story. “Farming looks might easy when your plow is a pencil and you are a thousand miles from the corn field”….Dwight D Eisenhower.

By the way, the entire matter legally is not looked at from any view point other than the officer who was hit by the car.

    2. D’ya remember when Obama issued massive amounts of weapons and ammo to the IRS? What was that for … if not for IRS Agents in green nightshades to behave like police? Something they’re not qualified to do. And if this weaponry was issued just for their self protection … then how is that any different that what this ICE officer used his weaponry for?

But that’s all moot as these Federal ICE Agents are “police” … they are apprehending criminals. And if those criminals are being aided and abetted by shit-grinning lesbo psychopaths … then they can arrest them as well. You might want to look up the “Supremacy” clause of the US Constitution.

    3. “Would the more sensible option have been to inform local police and let them handle it?”

A very uninformed thing to say.

In a sanctuary state, local law enforcement is under orders to refuse to cooperate with ICE.

    4. “First off, does ICE have the legal authority to arrest people for blocking a lane with a vehicle if those persons are not the target of an immigration investigation? ”

      Yes. Look it up.

“Secondly, protocol dictates that law enforcement officers do not walk in front or behind a vehicle unless it is turned off, for very good and obvious reasons.”

Because someone might disobey his order to exit the vehicle and instead try to run him down?

“Thirdly, is it normal for police to approach a vehicle by yelling at the driver to “get the f*** out of the car!” and bang on the door?”

Yes, when that person has been harassing them and deliberately interfering
with them carrying out their lawful duties.

“or the fact that legions of armchair psychopaths appear so eager to either laugh about her death or view it as a matter of some leftist “getting what she deserved””

No, the worse thing is the legions of USEFUL IDIOTS like you who are trying so desperately to defend the actions of another USEFUL IDIOT who got herself killed for no good reason. You are clearly no brighter than she was.

  8. Called it. Just as sure as I’m sitting here. And by that I mean Bari “She’s an Assad, Toadie” Weiss being touted as the new and improved Edward R. Murrow…Oh yeah, new broom sweeps clean folks! Uh huh.
Who does she hire? This muppet.
Never bought it for a second.

  9. Honestly, I getting sick and tired of the never-ending stream of videos and news posts about this incident.

    1. “Honestly, I getting sick and tired of the never-ending stream of videos and news posts about this incident.”

I love the way that the new videos have shut up most of the morons calling it “murder”. Should have waited until you had all the information before making fools of yourselves. Again.

  10. This guy is just another lying Democrat propagandist, as have been all the rest. For instance, he said “her three children expecting mom home again soon”. That’s when I quit listening. Two of her children live with her ex-husband, and she had one 5 or 6 year old living with her. If he had done the slightest bit of research, he would have known that, but “three children” at home makes a more sympathetic story, more in line with the Democrat agenda.
