Remember the old line about Democrats being “the party of the people”? Well, when push comes to shove, they clearly are not. In what is clearly a “very bad look”, New York Governor Kathy Hochul will not extend the federal policy of no tax on tips to state level taxes.
Here are the other states following Hochul’s lead: California, Illinois, Maine, New York, Massachusetts, Connecticut, Hawaii, plus the District of Columbia. 3 guesses what all of these places have in common! But Democrats help working people, right?! Uh huh.
States that require no voter I.D. to vote.
States in terminal decline under the blue model.
States that want to have sex with their citizens. It’s not voluntary.
Typical Blue-State fiscal model… When budget shortfalls arise and you have to cut spending, make sure that what is cut will have the most negative effects on the tax-paying middle class. NEVER cut those “special” programs that are near and dear to that small but vocal political base who support homeless encampments on city sidewalks over fixing failing infrastructure, or no-cash bail over protecting their citizens from violent recidivist criminals.
