I actually wasn’t aware that the NDP were going to choose a new leader of their party, I thought maybe whoever the current leader is had been acclaimed, possibly someone left the door open with the keys on the desk and whoever wandered in was going to be the one. Not the “chosen one” but simply “the one” …
The name Avi Lewis is familiar, but I couldn’t place any of these folks without seeing who is in the running.

To be honest, if anyone wants to see a conservative majority, we need to hope the NDP can pick themselves up and split some of that loony left vote.
The implosion of the NDP is what stole the last election from the conservatives.
Splitting the left vote is the only hope for anything that even resembles a conservative movement in this god forsaken confederation.
Yes, I was fine with the NDP taking near to 20% of the vote and complaining about it incessantly, their split of the left vote with the #Libranos, compounded with a few points for the Greens would be handy.

The anti-Semitism wasn’t a problem for the Dippers. What did in Engler was his insistence on questioning the wisdom of Canada’s supporting the Fourth Reich’s genocidal war against Russia.
If the NDP don’t pick a black lesbian as leader it’s because they are raging racist homophobes.
The candidates all look white, weren’t they supposed to put forward a system to prevent that?
