Blog Notes

A note on User Registrations: With the institution of account registration for SDA commentors, one of my daily rituals is deletion of spam account sign ups.

While most of these are blindingly obvious or have been flagged for forum abuse, others are more discrete. When in doubt, my default is to delete. If you are a legitimate reader whose sign up was removed in error, shoot me an email and we’ll get you fixed up.

A word of advice: use your regular email address and complete all of the fields in your account. The more creative you are (throw-away email domains, etc) the more likely your privileges will be denied.

  1. Kate … or someone … suddenly made my log in go much smoother a few weeks ago. Mucho aprrecio. Now I can bore you all with incessant impunity 🙂

      1. Only that’s it EASIER … for ME. To bore YOU. *giggle*
Did you see my note that I bought the first 4 Vinyl Detective books you recommended? I’ll let you know what I think of them. They look intriguing

        1. Ha….Good retort, Kenji.
I missed your note on the Vinyl Detective.
Not to belabour it, but they MUST be read in order, as he builds on the characters and references to previous events, etc.
I am just finishing the 3rd one, and it continues to amuse and entertain. It’s not Shakespeare, but more fun.
Let me know what you think (which none of us can stop you from doing).
          Peace

  2. Thanks for the note. And thank you for caring about your site. It’s still interesting and fun.

  3. Thanks Kate for all the hard work that you and your worker bees put into this blog! As one who has been here daily since the very, very beginning, it remains an island of sanity (most days) in a sea of excrement! Check the tip jar… (wink to the rest of you!)

    1. As Christ admonished … I try to never let my right hand know what my left hand is doing. i.e. I don’t crow, or take account of my giving … but suffice to say I show Kate my appreciation, somewhat regularly.
