A new wolf attack thriller from polar bear researcher, Susan Crockford;
IT’S THE WINTER OF 2029 AND THE LITTLE SURFING TOWN OF TOFINO HAS A
BIG PROBLEM WITH WOLVES THAT IT NEVER SAW COMING. FIRST DOGS
DISAPPEAR, THEN PEOPLE START TO DIE.JUST AS RCMP WILDLIFE SAFETY
SPECIALIST LUKE ROBINSON THINKS HE’S FOUND THE RIGHT PLACE TO BURY
HIS GRIEF AND START LIFE ANEW, HE GETS CAUGHT UP IN A WOLF ATTACK
CRISIS OF EPIC PROPORTIONS.
Susan Crockford is a zoologist (BSc., Ph.D.) turned novelist, best known
here for her work on polar bears, has also studied wolf behaviour and dog
domestication for more than 40 years.

Typo. Attach should be attack. Unless the wolves are very friendly.
On a related theme. I recently watched a podcast of Doug Casey and Michael Yon and the later was describing his recent time spent with a Japanese Bear hunter. Japan has experienced 13 fatal Bear attacks and over 100 non fatal encounters YTD. He attributed the problem to re-wilding. He described being with the Bear hunter who was the only Japanese individual with a license to hunt bears “indoors” and was on site with him as he went after and killed one that had broken into a building.
I never gave too much thought about wolf attacks until Rogan had outdoor survivalist Glenn Villeneuve on his podcast where he told about his encounter with a pack of them in Alaska.
Holy Hell!!! Scary effers.

Ms.Crockford is a climate change skeptic…which means I like her already.
Glenn Villeneuve? I’ve lived on the edge of the grid, outside Fairbanks for over 60 years, I’ve spent a little time in the Brooks Range and a lot more north of it but I’d never heard of Glenn until now. I guess don’t I get out much nor watch much TV either. 😉
I quite enjoyed his conversation with Rogan, thanks for posting the link Burton.
L – “Don’t Run” , at first glance at the title, I thought her book might be a warning about predator attacks in the Canadian political wilderness. A warning of the dangers of running for office, which become greater, if you actually win.
Now can she write a book about pit bulls ?

I’d be curious as to what this predatory animal specialist thinks about pit bulls. And what Kate thinks of them? Yeah, yeah … it’s an owner problem, not a breed problem. I’ve heard that before. And this latest mauling slaughter was by the owners own 7 Pitbulls. Yeah … 7 Pitbulls inside his home.
“They were always so gentle around the children”
I will buy a copy if it includes a nice, juicy description of The Turd being ripped apart by wolves on one of his surfing trips to Tofino.
Damn, you beat me too it! It would make a great kid’s story too; condensed version:
Once upon a time there was a spoiled little prick of a prince named Joostaihn who hated ordinary people. One day Joostaihn went skipping down his Yellow Prick Road and a Big Good Wolf got him by the scrawnies….
