Trump’s New National Security Strategy

Zerohedge;

The Trump administration’s just published new National Security Strategy has generated a lot of ‘shock’ and discussion since it appeared online early Friday. One of its more ‘controversial’ elements is the stark contrast in outlook on Europe in comparison with prior years’ national security strategy documents.

It warns that some of America’s oldest allies in Europe face “the real and more stark prospect of civilizational erasure” as a result of unchecked immigration, as well as the erosion of democratic principles. Alongside calling out irresponsible unchecked EU immigration policies, it further cites the curbing of free speech – also with the support for EU censorship excesses by transnational elite institutions, describing that “should present trends continue, the continent will be unrecognizable in 20 years or less.”

Matt Gurney and Jenn Gerson discuss implications for a similarly compromised northern free rider.

Some of what the document lays out is simply true, and Canadian and other allied politicians, especially on the left, have ignored those realities at their peril. Some of it is debatable, or at least worth taking seriously. And some of it is outright nuts, pulled straight from the conspiratorial anxieties of America’s far-right social media ecosystem. But whether reasonable, arguable, or deranged, it is now official White House policy — and the rest of us are going to have to learn to live with it.

From there, the conversation turns to how Canadians are, or aren’t, learning to live with it. There is still very little evidence that anyone here grasps the scale of the threat or the urgency involved. Jen introduces a new theory: Canada as a nation is increasingly resembling the federal New Democrats — and that’s not good news for anyone.

Then they get angry that the document treats us like a bitter underachiever, before going full CBC derangement.

  1. FILTHY LIBERALS
They are aligning their LGB fag crowd with ISLAM.
It won’t end well for the Queers, or FILTHY LIBERALS, nor should it.

The Depravity of Islam is completely unknown to the naive suicidal Empaths- The Retarded Elbows Up Boomers. Even if they knew, Orange Man is worse, right Karen?
    KISS THIS Canada GOODBYE
    FILTHY LIBERALS
This country is already dead. Our birthrate is the tell.

  2. All of the following countries are lost unless they dramatically reverse course:

    – The UK – now canceling/delaying local elections because they’re “inconvenient”
    – Germany – are doing everything they can to block the popular AFD from achieving power
    – France – gone a long time ago; likely no road to redemption
    – Canada – continuing to dwindle both economically and on every notable freedom front

      1. Tommy Robinson has been sent to prison multiple times and not once did he have a jury trial.

        Judge: ” You can’t speak.”

Robinson: “Your honor, I’m a reporter and must speak.”

Judge: “OK – 18 more months – Sure hope the Muslims in Belmarsh Prison don’t kill you – Ha, ha, ha.” and the gavel comes down.

        1. Summary offences do not allow for Jury Trials in Canada, and you can expect the liberals to follow the UK in expanding what charges can have summary trials, and increasing the penalties beyond 2 years less a day and a $5k fine.

  3. Read a WSJ article on strategy earlier this am. Its paywalled.
    Seems pretty reasonable to me.

We all know Europe is an autocratic state that crushes any right-leaning dissent in the name of the history of fascism – that we all know is the Lefts achievement – while it commits cultural suicide by importing Jihadists and jungle savagery while shitting on its own cultures.

The Great Frozen Turdlandia to the north of the US is doing the same thing.
Cultural Marxists like the black queer of an ex-PM and his crew of virtue-signaling high school council twats have turned the sad place into a threat to the US.

The truth hurts and far too many Canadians will need pain to wake them up.
Hopefully it won’t be from a vest clack or just watching the State evict them.

The US calls it as it sees it and the Democrat-Media-Deep State can go fck itself.

  4. Listened to Gurney and Gerson video.
Do people listen to these smug clowns in Canada? They are so arrogant and full of $hit.

    1. They are saying exactly what their masters told them to; contained therein are the seeds of the psyop that will be run on the people (of Canada, of the U.S., etc.) to try and stop this….if they can.

  5. I listened to about 15 minutes of the early part of the Gurney/Gerson talk… and found it very difficult to pay attention to, snips of info which may be correct but from the + 1 hour talk, maybe they could sum up their points in an average sized rant comment from SDA.
Agree that Europe faces a stark choice to make in these next few years, the establishment doesn’t want to change course at all and is comfortable guiding their own into permanent loss.
France may find their way back in the next year while Marine Le Pen exhausts her appeals. Either way, the National Rally has a plan to win.

Hopefully Germany will have an AFD gov’t though that won’t be until 2029, they’ll have a few more years of decline to think this through, and Poland stands as a beacon to show what happens when you don’t import the madness.
The Christmas markets look spectacular there.
As for the UK? they haven’t been kicked in the teeth enough to see what the problem is, in a few years things may change. Often times people don’t take meaningful change until they’ve met rock bottom in their lives…
In Canada? The PQ hold 3 seats currently, but are leading the polls in Quebec with almost double the support of the Liberals, they’ve said they’ll hold a referendum to separate within 2 years of winning the provincial election, that election will be in October 2026 at the latest.
    https://338canada.com/quebec/
AB will have a referendum in 2026, I hope Sask. joins us, but Canada is going to look very different by the end of 2026. The political changes in 2026-27 as to “what is Canada”? are not known yet, though I expect the current federal gov’t to continue to act as though they hate us.

    1. I’m very pessimistic for parts of Europe, parts of Canada especially Ont. Man. BC, and the Atlantic provinces, and very optimistic for AB/Sask, perhaps Quebec too, and France, Poland.

There’s a chance that The President will end the Can US Mex free trade agreement in June 2026 at very near to the separation referendum expected in AB. That will kick Canada to the curb economically, and only a complete idiot would expect the above named provinces to survive as an independent country. Perhaps in 2027 the US will offer those remaining provinces a lifeline, but it certainly won’t be one that those provinces will welcome, the hatred of all things American runs too deep, and the US doesn’t need an influx of dependents.
Note the expected seats to be held in Quebec are PQ 88 and rising, Liberals 33 and falling. It’s going to be a rout, all the PQ needs to do is not score any “own goals”.

      1. Could be, but there are many things that might derail that.

        1. The Supreme Court could restrict the president’s ability to impose tariffs.
        2. The US could enter a recession with tariffs blamed for it, increasing public support for free trade.
        3. Republican congressmen might get nervous ahead of midterm elections, and begin opposing Trump’s economic policies (which are generally unpopular).
        4. Trump, who is 79 and overweight, might be forced to resign for health reasons.

        And on and on.

  6. “‘Managing European relations with Russia will require significant U.S. diplomatic engagement, both to reestablish conditions of strategic stability across the Eurasian landmass, and to mitigate the risk of conflict between Russia and European states,’ the document reads.”

Translation: The United States are not interested in being a part of the unwinnable and suicidal attempt to “solve” the Russian “problem” plotted by the crypto-Nazi elites of western Europe and their puppet Vladimir Zelensky, arguably the most murderous and dangerous self-hating Jew to trouble Russia since the death of Leon Trotsky.

    1. Air quotes don’t make Putin’s imperialistic impulses disappear. Russia IS a real threat to world peace, and Putin IS one of the biggest arseholes on the planet. Fortunately, Europeans are perfectly capable of handling him themselves.

          1. Hey, I’m constantly making vacuous insulting comments that add nothing to the discussion, and I never get thanks! Grumble, grumble…

          2. On the contrary, it once again confirmed the vast majority of my opinions about you — but you do have a penchant for wishful thinking as well that may prove useful.

From what I can see, unless the European powers get to some of the Russian inner circle of power, they have to worry about Russian truculence, not us. Perhaps they should try sitting down and shutting up for a change?

          3. First, knock off the personal remarks.

Second, Western Europe is far stronger than Russia by almost every metric. They don’t need the US. They just need to take responsibility. And no, they should not shut up. They should start throwing their weight around, particularly eastward.

  7. I support Trump’s move to reduce US support for NATO. Europeans SHOULD take more responsibility for their own defense. Western Europe is one of the wealthiest and most powerful regions in the world, and they should act like it.

Putin might celebrate such a move, but he shouldn’t. It will make NATO’s collective military capability even stronger.

    1. NATO should have ceased to exist in 1991 when the Warsaw pact disbanded, and the Europeons should be paying for their defense, even if it means paying overtime.

        1. You didn’t read the document, did you? I’ll summarize some key points:
Not once does it mention Putin or Russia as the greatest threats to Europe in our estimation of course.
And it very clearly states our stance with regards to any such Putin problem(s) that Europe might have: it isn’t our problem. NATO will have to confront their Putin problem without us.
We’re going back to the Monroe Doctrine — something that it also might be wise to glance through.

          1. The document doesn’t have to spell out who the main military adversary for Europe has been over the last 80 years. Only an idiot would be in any doubt about that. And to quote the document (page 27):

            Enabling Europe to stand on its own feet and operate as a group of aligned sovereign nations, including by taking primary responsibility for its own defense, without being dominated by any adversarial power;

  8. People really should read the whole document and not rely on cherry picking from the media (both U.S. and not). Sometimes the truly interesting stuff is in the parts they forgot to report.

Told you we were going to start playing by the old rules (old rules that have now taken a different tone thanks to the actions of others, but they still hold to their principles).
We’ll see if we can really accomplish all of it (we are up against some very frantic opposition), but at the very least we have already started. At the very least you can enjoy the show.

  9. Canada is following in the footsteps of Zimbabwe and Venezuela.
    Same road,same destination.
We are already a disfunctional mess, lacking law and order, trust in public institutions and sinking further into bankruptcy every day.

It does not take a genius to see what a failed state we are becoming.
We are becoming a direct threat to the USA’s national security.
A collapsed state, controlled by the likes of China and without the means to control border crossing, limit criminal activities or even enforce our territorial claims.

To see the collapse of Canada,is down right discouraging from inside this country..But as our neighbours it is appalling to observe.
That border makes all the frontier States vulnerable to the roving criminals from Canada..
A huge cost to national security.
So any responsible American Administration must act.
Either by encouraging the current Canadian administration to become more responsible.
Or by replacing the Canadian Government.
Or by intervening directly, once convinced that the Canadian State has failed..
    Or by closing that border.
If you were the US President?
    What would you do?
Trump has already made multiple attempts to persuade Canada to uphold their obligations..We have all seen how the Canadian Administration has behaved.
    Canada is still sinking.
Canada still denies any problem exists.
As the economy sinks, the likelyhood of waves of economic refugees rises daily.

The hubris of our electorate is mind blowing..
    Elbows up!
    Orange Man Bad!
The collapse of the Canadian Standard of Living,is cause Trump Tariffs..
As the Canadian Government lies, sensors and criminalizes free speech.

Would you like Canada as a neighbour?
    A whiney,backstabbing parasite,with such incredible lack of self awareness…
We insult America, for keeping us safe from invasion and rich.

If our elected and appointed “leaders” wanted to destroy Canada..What would they have done differently?

I fully expect Donald Trump to make Alberta,Saskatchewan,Northern BC and The Yukon an offer.
For the most elegant solution to The threat to national security of the USA and the most economic solution to this same risk..
Is have these regions join the USA,linking Alaska to Montana.
And rendering the actions of the rest of Can Ahh Dah irrelevant.
And ,if Trump uses the failure of Canada to make the USA stronger and bigger,at no cost to the USA…
    Rushmore gets another statue.

    And for the Western Canadians?
    What would we lose?
We would gain some very obvious benefits..Things Canada used to claim we had, which current events have shown us..everything about Canadian Rights and Freedoms were a LIE!
And could this be called a “Land Grab”?
When it was Ottawa who did the lying, the stealing and the alienation?
