    1. Ah, yes, the redoubtable james, once again sweepingly blaming and casting aspersions on the monolithic “boomer” bloc.
Hey, jamie….boomer here, sans TV, who mayhaps even knows more than you, which, based on your occasional posts, is a fair surmise.
PS: this SDA site is rife with solid, awake boomers. So, stop it.
PSS: I will belabour my rebuttal. In 2015, it was the 18 to 24 year old demographic that assured Blackies’ win. Did you help with that?
      Have a nice day.

      1. Boomers vote liberal and are 100% responsible for Marc Carney, Justin Trudeau and all the losers before them. That’s 100% fact boomer. When boomers finally kick the can the libtard party is toast which is why they want to import more libtard voters in.

        1. James…
The problem with stating boomers are 100% responsible and it’s 100% fact, is it only takes 1 boomer to not vote for the #Libranos and your statement is untrue, and demonstrably untrue at that, shown by basic mathematics.
There were 933k boomers counted in Alberta in the last 2021 census, and in the 2025 federal election, 630k total votes for the #Libranos and 142k for the NDP. It’s not credible to assume all of the boomer votes were for either of these 2 parties even if the numbers were to add up in their favor.
One would have to assume that a very small minority of other age groups voted in sync with your argument, and that’s just as far outside of chance, for example there were 1.4 million votes for the Conservatives, and it’s not credible to think all other age groups voted in unison for Conservatives.
No one in my immediate family voted for either of these leftist parties, none of the folks I know who are near to my age voted for them.

Some boomers may vote for the #Libranos or the NDP, but your statement is too close to saying, “if you swear you’ll catch no fish”.

  1. Legal euthanasia made it easier for old, ugly, psychopathic old women to make sure their husbands die before the old buggers outlived the money, leaving their long-suffering wives with the means to go to Africa or the Caribbean to recruit the old buggers’ replacements, and no fear of going to prison for murder.

Not to mention it promised to save Ottawa a fortune in health care costs and rid the dominion of a good many Conservative voters.

People who really don’t consider their lives worth living and willing to die have always been perfectly capable of taking their own lives. “Mercy-killing” was never about others’ wanting to show such people mercy. It was about others’ wanting such people’s money.

      Exactly.

  2. “Mr. A was a male in his 40s with inflammatory bowel disease. He received extensive treatment for this illness. It was reported that partly due to the course of his illness, Mr. A did not have an active social network: he could not maintain employment, he found personal relationships difficult to sustain, and he was dependent on family for housing and financial support. As a result, Mr. A lived with reduced social supports. He had declined multiple social support programs and psychosocial services.”

It gets worse from there, and that’s only one of the patients that the coroner reviewed for the 2024 MAID report for Track 2 patients (those without a reasonably foreseeable death, as a result of their condition).

  3. What ‘time bomb’? Current idiot PM will stay as long as he wants, just like previous imbecile PM. No-matter-what. Liberals can do whatever, while Conservatives if it ever happens to reach PM, it’s a day-by-day battle. Where some orange juice in a hotel lobby or a loan to help a friend can topple the gov and bring back the Librano$.

  4. I was speaking with my sister in law and asked about her Aunt Dorothy, who is 93, in good physical health but has severe dementia. The retirement home costs $ 6,000 per month and the family is running out of money. They are thinking about euthanasia now.

  5. Yup. Dad was diagnosed with dementia at 82, and started falling (serious falls – brain bleeds etc) at 83.

    SaskHealth offered MAID.

Thankfully, his heart gave out a year later and he passed away before his dementia progressed too far.

The intermediate care facility in Saskatoon was charging $5350 a month.
