    1. Paraphrasing the Dems latest comments “If they weren’t at that family gathering they wouldn’t be shot.”

      1. My favorite comment on stories about these active-shooter children’s birthday parties? “Them again”. Always. It’s always … them.

  1. When I see some of the plywood shantytowns filling the sidewalks, it’s reminiscent of the Ghost Ship Warehouse Fire of some years ago. It speaks to how the city simply doesn’t enforce any of its own laws whatsoever when it comes to poor people. The indigent rabble can simply do as they please. Why? Because when it’s on far-away blocks of tilt-up warehouses and industrial shops … the general public doesn’t see and doesn’t care. I rarely drive any of the streets traveled by these videographers, no need to… other than to visit a stone warehouse or fabricator. So it’s mostly out of sight and out of mind.

You’d also be surprised at how shockingly wealthy and beautiful the Oakland hills are (including the Independent city of Piedmont). Most of it was built out in the roaring 20’s when enormous wealth paid for old world craftsmanship. The streets are tree-lined and absolutely beautiful. The homes are beautiful. However … except for Piedmont … your children will absolutely HAVE to attend Private school. Nobody who can afford to live in the Oakland Hills can “afford” to send their children to the Oakland schools.

What would be even more interesting… and realistic … is for these men to drive the CONTRASTING neighborhoods of Oakland … from extreme poverty to extreme wealth. I’d dare say the city of Oakland may be the single most extreme example of wealth inequality in the nation. Ironically, in a deep Blue, nay communist city. Which partly explains why the communists running the city tolerate … nay, actively support … the homeless and the criminal.

    1. Sadly, I know the parents of someone who did in that fire. They were devastated and have never recovered.

  2. I loved the scene of the parking lot filled with a ‘neighborhood’ of stripped, hollowed-out, and burned … “tiny homes” … for the homeless. It’s simply laughable how all these ‘Tuff-shed homeless houses’ are all trashed and uninhabitable.

You have no idea how many local news programs went GAGA over the youthful designers and donors of these “tiny homes”. Over-the-top fawning about these “solutions” to homelessness. And gawd knows how many taxpayer dollars … ? Dudes … “housing” isn’t at the core of the homeless problem.

  3. So sad. Never been there, but my spiritual home, one time land of the Raiders and A’s.

Hang in there Kenji, the only thing that will fix all this is Jesus return.

    1. Well … thus far Socialism hasn’t helped. Wait. Jesus was a Socialist … right? Nevermind. That’s just idiotic.

      1. John 6:26 New International Version

Jesus answered, “Very truly I tell you, you are looking for me, not because you saw the signs I performed but because you ate the loaves and had your fill.”

      1. You have no idea how badly I want to rent that to wreak some havoc on the Tesla and Porsche SUV driving trophy wives in my town. No deaths. Just destruction.

Just to make them look up from the giant touchscreens on their dashboards

  4. how long will it be before officialdom acknowleges NOTHING THEY DO will fix this?
there are complex solutions, linked to other social systems, but the will AND knowledge
to track and address ISNT THERE. as such, mebbe GIVE UP saving loadsa dough?
