Elections Have Consequences

Anton Daniels is a successful vlogger out of Detroit. He has a common sense approach to things and doesn’t pull punches. In this recent video, he shares first person videos from Chicagoans facing extremely steep property tax increases (severe langage warning). One woman actually blamed Trump for the financial mismanagement of Mayor Brandon Johnson and Illinois Governor JB Pritzker. What will it take for lifelong Democrats to finally understand that their political allegiances are at the root of most of their problems?!

  1. Crook County indeed. The usual suspects such as the Chicago Teachers Union, the local legacy media (Colonel McCormick has been dead 70 years), the Rainbow Push Coalition and the Roman Catholic Church, have turned Chicagoans into the most misinformed, brainwashed people on the planet. No one knows what honey hole(s) has swallowed property tax money as public education costs, mass transit costs and public employee pensions have been transferred to all Illinois taxpayers. It’s no wonder so many counties are exploring seceding from Chicago-Springfield corruption.

  2. speaking of trumpisms:

bravo Melania !!!! Barron will outdo all his siblings with that elusive ‘success in life’ because of the SHIELD you put on him. the world is FULL of hate violence and lies lies lies lies. and YOU wont let that slop near your beloved son.

    1. It’s so funny looking at Melania around kids. You can tell she’s a mother and acts like one. When was the last time a President’s wife acted like a normal person?

  3. Here’s what my AI told me …

Overview of Cook County Property Tax Increases for 2026
    General Increase in Property Taxes

The median residential property tax bill in Cook County is projected to rise by 16.7% in 2026, reaching an average of $4,457. This marks the largest increase in nearly 30 years.

    Impact on Different Neighborhoods:
West Garfield Park Nearly $2,000 133%
    North Lawndale Almost $1,900 99%
    Englewood Over $600 82.5%

    Reasons for the Increase:
The increase is largely attributed to a decline in commercial property values in downtown Chicago, which has shifted the tax burden to residential properties. As commercial properties see reduced tax assessments, residential taxes have risen to compensate.

    Future Considerations
Despite the significant tax increases, Cook County’s budget for 2026 does not include any new tax hikes or fees, as the Cook County Board approved a balanced budget of $10.1 billion. This budget aims to address financial challenges without further burdening taxpayers.
These factors contribute to the overall landscape of property taxes in Cook County for 2026, affecting homeowners across various neighborhoods.

They’re making it sound like NO MORE property tax increases are scheduled for the future. Hahahahaha … what a joke. And look at these 100% and higher increases. And why the increase? Because of falling commercial property values in downtown Chicago. Gee … I wonder if rampant crime both on the streets and in the shops has anything to do with that? I wonder if the COVID shut down and shut-in movement had anything to do with that?

And what ONE word isn’t mentioned in this discussion? “Inflation”. This isn’t Trump’s inflation … it’s Biden’s inflation. It’s Karl Marx’s inflation. And it’s a shitload higher than the reported “9%”

  4. I listen to Anton Daniels from time to time. He’s a good vlogger. But I tire of hearing about Chicago. Let them reap what they have sown. If you have to pay for the destruction of your downtown core then congratulations.
