I Want A New Country

But wait! There’s more.

The IFHP gives supplementary health benefits to people who claim refugee status, even after their refugee claim has been denied. That means bogus refugee claimants receive dental, drug, vision, physio etc. coverage that taxpaying Canadian do not get.

  1. Did it ever occur to anyone that the process should be shut down until the department is properly staffed?

How about this? Yes, we just resurfaced the road, but the line crew won’t be available until next Tuesday to paint on the lines, but go ahead and use it.

    Or…

Welcome to the zoo. We don’t have the personnel available to put up the dividers and glass walls in the Lion’s Den, but you’re free to view them anyway. We don’t recommend doing so while holding a snack.

    1. Short staffed by Canadian Federal government standards “we only have hundreds to do the work of dozens, in Ottawa it requires thousands”. The GoC is so overstaffed and bloated, it would make a private sector employee or employer puke.

  2. This is giving me some great money-saving ideas for our criminal justice system.

“Please press 1 if you are guilty of the crime charged. You will then be issued a sentence for the crime.”
“Please press 2 if you are not guilty. You will then be released from custody.”

  3. Holy effin’ shit, you have got to be kidding me! President Trump needs to invade Canada and shut down its borders immediately to secure the USA from the insane threat posed by the Canadian people and their mentally retarded government. I thought you people were smart? It turns out that you are all just incompetent, lazy, and honestly quite stupid. Canada has more government bureaucrats per capita than the old Soviet Union and yet they are short staffed? Jesus effin Christ!

    1. Right now is the ideal time to invade, while there are insufficient staff at the borders. I wonder if the Chinese who are importing fentanyl precursors into Canada are aware of the insufficient staff and insufficient RCMP and insufficient gov’t oversight and … well Canada has 4 submarines and 3 are being overhauled so that leaves… 1 submarine to “guard” the coastlines and it’s probably on the east coast as they need more help on the employment front than BC does….

      1. Shhhhh … HUSH! You’re sounding an awful lot like that awful BadORANGEman who made up fanciful stories about leaky Canadian borders and drugs. You keep talking like that, and you’ll get an elbow to the ear hole.

        1. But our border in its entirety IS leaky ! For the record, when they come knocking on my door, Friday I like to have lasagna and I’ll make more if I know how many will be here.

      2. “I wonder if the Chinese who are importing fentanyl precursors into Canada are aware of the insufficient staff and insufficient RCMP and insufficient gov’t oversight…”

Yeah, I think they are. Given that they’re the ones who arranged all this…

  4. I’m just curious … what exact LAW requires or allows a government official … like Joe Biden’s Autopen … to defacto eliminate the border of a sovereign nation?

Ohhh yeahhh … the West has “evolved” past those old fashioned concepts of Nations and lines on maps. I feel so evolved … when getting carjacked (or worse).

    1. “…what exact LAW requires or allows a government official to defacto eliminate the border of a sovereign nation?”

Oh, but you don’t understand, Kenji. This isn’t a change in law, this is just a staffing issue. A minor snafu in the budget, you know. I’m sure they’ll get around to doing security checks on all those “refugees” eventually.

You know, like after they kill a whole hockey team with an 18 wheeler.

  5. One of these days a mass death event will occur. Then of course it will be the conservative or Pierre’s fault. Bet good money(USD) on that.

  6. I’ve been coming to Smalldeadanimals for over twenty years.

It started out as a great place to gripe about the state of things and trade opinions about current events and politics. All the big concerns from twenty years ago are starting to look so small compared to where we are today. The Same-Sex Marriage debate was white-hot. Paul Martin’s conflict of interest with his shipping interests was a controversy. Stephen Harper was trying to win people over with a GST cut.

Flash-forward to today and it is just revolting levels of bustout-fraud style-governance and total chaos/collapse level fundamentals with a ruling class that is ideologically retarded and corrupt at best or satanic at worst.

This is The Trouble With Canada, by Gairdner come to life. The rotting institutions, the corruption, the facade of democracy, the debt, the Woke…we all talk about Canada collapsing but it’s with a certain degree of “Yup, it’s going to hell in a hand basket…anyway see you next weekend after the game!” type of…we don’t really believe it, we just don’t like things going this way.
People better buckle up. The whole schtick of “Can you believe the latest?” farmer’s row type criticism is going to vaporized by an “Argentina 2000-2014” situation.
On the plus side, maybe those conspiracies about this all being a part of a plan to roll Canada into the U.S. are true. Even the elbows up crowd might beg for it to happen if the banks all disappear.

      1. Dint a former CanPost prez try to start a CanPost Bank?
All those smily MP faces are sneering at the populace. They got gamed us.
Ship CanPost excess bodies to CBSA and the miltary. Them posties can march for miles.

    1. “…this all being a part of a plan to roll Canada into the U.S…”

You were so close, Captain. The plan is to roll Canada into China. We should be so lucky to become part of the USA.

    2. Yup.
But,until it is “time’ all you can do is make your preparations and then wait.
Ring fencing the cities would be a good plan..but hard to disguise as a “public good” .
Until chaos peaks,we may as well keep eating popcorn and watching the circus.

  7. When you have an organization that has a collective agreement in place the liability is always going to be excess credentiallizing, leading to segregation of tasks limiting each employee to a specific task, and only that specific task.
This can be seen whenever there is a street repair and one guy using the shovel and three other workers standing around because their job description doesn’t allow them to use said shovel.
Using this perspective to parse the statement by the witness that they are “understaffed” what he is trying not to say is that they have a great many people that are classified as managers, lots of “analysts” and not enough staff to do the work, so please increase our budget and our head count.
    Thats just how bureaucracy rolls.

  8. There is no shortage of staff. You deploy resources to where they are needed. The government has been on a hiring binge since 2015. This is deliberate.

  9. Three words – “Cloward-Piven Strategy” for world wide communism. This is one of the prongs – unfettered, unchecked immigration. The other two parts are outrageous government spending and constantly expanding government regulation and the expansion of the civil service to manage and enforce the expanding regulations.

And it is happening in Australia, the UK, the EU and Canada. If you can’t see the pattern, open your eyes and look around the world.

    1. … the legitimacy crisis in Western governments is caused by Illegal Immigration
… the tax-paying citizens, having learned from previous betrayals, now expect nothing but deceit
… the ruling elites, without consent of the governed, have chosen the path of social disruption

This will only end when We The People are crushed by the state, or the state heeds the people… who have the strength to say no to our architects of destruction.

Except by adoption, the very ideas of dignity and worth of the individual, of freedom and liberty, of political democracy and the rule of law, are all Western ideas. They are not Asian, nor African, nor Middle Eastern in nature. This is what makes Western civilization unique, worth fighting and dying for.

    2. Yep. Implode the West with unfunded expenses and cultural incompatibles. That plan appears to be working.

  10. “Minister” Lena Diab said she “put her chapeau on her hat.”
Quite the tautology. Oh, and does she always twitch and shift and blink like that?

    1. “Oh, and does she always twitch and shift and blink like that?”

So many of them jerk around like that, it makes me wonder if they’re “wearing” something that runs by remote control…

Remember that press conference with #Twitchy and #TheWaitress? Given the smirk on #TheWaitress’s face while #Twitchy was twitching, I conjectured she might have the button in her pocket.

It’s sad that a ridiculous conjecture like that can’t really be ruled out.

  11. These are Caliphate Carney’s people and given that he is aligned with the EU intelligentsia, this is his policy. This is far too insidious to be incompetence. Jihad values are LPC values, until the woke are no longer needed as useful idiots and then beheaded.

  12. What???!!! No Royal Canadian Migrant Porters on hand to carry their luggage!!!!

    What’s this country coming to????
