RE: British envy of the US. Their description of the BBC and National Health Service could be applied to the CBC and Canadian healthcare system, and no one would notice the distinction. THe only difference in practice being that the BBC adheres to better use of English to spread it’s propaganda, the thousands of semi-literate drones at the CBC can’t even manage decent writing.

I’d prefer they didn’t clutter up my surroundings. I quite like my semi-hermit existence out in the middle of nowhere with no neighbors; it’s probably better for others too.

      It’s easiest to embrace communism when you’re wealthier than God, more famous than Jesus Christ … and have no wants or needs whatsoever. And your suicidal empathy leads you to believe EVERYONE should have what you’ve earned. Perhaps earned too easily … so you forget the connection between genius, slaving hours, practicing tens of thousands of hours to perfect your craft … and believe wealth just rains from heaven.
      
      Humans can be gifted and talented in ONE arena of life … and utterly clueless in others. Sadly, we’ve become a society of ‘specialists’ … and no longer embrace ‘general knowledge’ and a BROAD education. We no longer have any respect for or knowledge of history.
