  1. The most insane or inane fact is that not one of those jobs would exist without the government payola, as the “green” economy is uneconomic, i.e. will not sustain itself.

  2. “Canadian governments spent $158 billion on green economy…”

Try “Canadian governments STOLE $158 billion of taxpayer money and called it “green economy” while giving fake jobs to 68,000 friends and relatives.” There, how about that? Sounds a little more realistic, eh?

  3. This will be referred to as “investments” after the next federal gov’t budget.
it goes in the same column, but it’s given a more soothing title.
and that’s not too far a ratio from the amount the Gov’t of Sask. spent on Prince Albert Pulp and Paper mill per job “created” …

  4. Created jobs? Economics 101: for every job hired in unproductive ventures, at least one is destroyed elsewhere.

  5. the worst part is that they do it over and over again each year with the billions stolen from Alberta…..

  6. No.
The worst bit is that the stealing never stops.
If failing to pay taxes is an offence worthy of imprisonment.
Then deliberately or foolishly wasting tax dollars must be a Capital Offence.

Until we return to the more traditional means of dealing with thieves, highwaymen and scoundrels we will be taxed without mercy.
    Hey,parasites gotta eat too.
    All hail the Kleptocracy.

  7. That helps explain how bureaucrats can afford high end mansions on bureaucratic salaries. Lots of kickbacks in that $158 billion.
