Elbows Down!

For anyone who thinks that natural gas exports are going to magically replace job losses in the Canadian auto sector, think again.

Just five vessels sailed from the terminal in Kitimat, B.C. during the month of September, LNG Canada confirmed last week. It was short of the seven that had been expected, RBC Capital Markets said in note which pointed to a slower ramp-up of production at the Shell plc-led project since operations began in July.

Roughly 15 tankers per month will be required once the facility reaches full capacity, RBC noted.

  1. When AB/Sask. separate next year… by the end of next year, tax from the AB/Sask. will cease to flow to Eastern Canada, and I don’t know what those autoworkers will do, perhaps they’ll look in their own back yards for oil and gas? Maybe next decade a company will build a highway or rail spur into the Ring of Fire area in north Ontario? I looked at the Wiki for that, it’s mostly about which FN group has the in-road to how much they’re entitled to. Some have built a town in the area in order to stake their claim for this.

After AB/Sask. separate from tier 2 Canada, one of the red flags of natural gas and oil exports from us will be removed, that is, we’ll stop being viewed as “unreliable” … and eastern Canada can hoard all the red flags for being unreliable they want. Eastern Canada can then build villages around their red flags so they’re certain the world recognizes it for what it is. Perhaps invite more street sweepers from Islamabad or Delhi by means of promising “free healthcare” for all new arrivals? and then build mobile home parking lots for them to live in?
