Chinada: Xi Jinping Island

Regulator Admits 2018 Buddhist Land Probe Was Never Completed;

An investigation was launched in early 2016 into the land holdings of several Buddhist-related organizations under section 15 of the Prince Edward Island Lands Protection Act. According to IRAC’s response to legislators, a consultant prepared both an initial and a supplementary report and provided those documents to the investigating officers on a privileged basis. But for reasons not explained by IRAC, the Commission’s investigating officers did not ultimately produce a report, no hearing was held, and no order was issued determining whether the parties under investigation did or did not violate the Act.

The revelations have shocked legislators and residents who for years believed the province had quietly completed — and withheld — the 2018 report. Instead, the correspondence shows that the probe was effectively abandoned without explanation.

  1. “Prince Edward Island is being TAKEN OVER by the China…”

No kidding. So is Ontario. Why do you think a guy in Lindsay is being charged with aggravated assault after fighting off an armed attacker in his own kitchen at 3AM?

It’s just that somebody had the b@lls to squeal on them in PEI. Go those guys!

      1. YES. The province can easily extinginguish property title of those 17,000 acres. But note that the reports about these kinds of incursions by hostile entities usually include the phrase “elite capture”.

As an example of my pragmatic libertarianism: gasp! We should not allow foreign ownership of residential property or agricultural land. Full stop.

  2. Good to see that Sam Cooper & The Bureau are on this…

However, I’ve seen how these investigations go in Canada.
    House of Commons:
“Mr. Speaker, will the Minister responsible please address this issue for the House and explain why nothing is being done?”
“Mr. Speaker, the honorable opposition doesn’t want the gov’t to address this problem”

etc… Then in the Canadian main stream media which is entirely dependent upon gov’t welfare to keep their buildings warm in the winter, they report that the Gov’t of Canada is making headway to having climate change made a priority this year, and have you seen the list of Academy Award nominations?

Make note… “The revelations have SHOCKED the legislators”

But not so shocked that they’ll do something about it.

    #Libranos, Chinese … wot?

  3. It was obvious back in the days of imbecile petulant king Juhtin that China is deep into Canada’s affairs: election interfering, China police stations, BC/West Coast meddling, election of the most idiot candidate from the lineup (Comrade Chowsescu) as Mayor of Toronto. Nothing was done for years, decades even.
So now all we can say is… Duh, of course CCP is taking over PEI.

    1. Juhtin (and his old man, spits on ground) Pierre) were both closet Maoists. There are a lot of them in the Liberal Party including clowns like Alan Rock, Maurice Strong (one of the fathers of “climate change”) and a number of others. Carney is one as well.

  4. Don’t forget that PEI is probably the most overgoverned piece of ground on the face of the earth. It has a population of about 185,000 people and it has 4 MPs or one MP for every 46,000 people (all of who are….Liberal). By way of comparison, Alberta has a population of about 5,035,000 people and has 37 MPs of about one MP for every 136,000 people. If we used the same MP/population ratio of PEI for Alberta, Alberta should have 110 seats….. 110….NOT 37.

This is important because currently those 4 seats in PEI (all Liberal) effectively hold the balance of power in Canada. If those four seats were not Liberal (and did not go to the Conservatives and obviously not the Bloc), the number of seats the Liberals hold in Parliament would drop from 169 to 165 which is less than the combined total for the Conservatives and the Bloc which is 166. The Liberals hold on power would be very tenuous indeed and the government could fall at any time.

Too many people these days think that the grip on political power is simply a matter percentage of vote country wide…..but the levers are really difficult to parse out sometimes….but in this case, because PEI is so easily controlled, in effect China can control our election by effectively controlling only four seats…..and Liberals are cozy to China….after all, Pierre and Justin Trudeau were both Maoists at heart.

  5. I thought I saw the Dalai Lama holding a shovel, but I realised it was a Buddhist land probe…

    1. So, the Buddhists are helping find indigenous kids in unmarked graves. Finally the truth may emerge. Karma and rebirth next.

  6. Gets an eternal cynic such as myself to thinking that perhaps Conservative Premier Dennis King who stepped down in 2019 to take an ambassadorship to Ireland was for a reason.
42M people in Canada to choose from for a “No brains required” position and Trudeau picks this guy. “I’ll file this in my “The Man Who Knew Too Much” file.
Things that make you go…hmmmmmmmm, that’s interesting.

  7. Considering that 17,000 acres equals 0.0012% of P.E.I.’s surface area that`s anything but a takeover.

      1. I understand but using loaded language can make the user look ridiculous and dismissible.

    1. Well, PEI IS a province, after all…..and it has 4 seats in Parliament (far beyond what it should have) and as of now actually is the reason why the Liberals have a slightly larger seat count than the Conservatives and Bloc combined….and without those four seats, the Liberal government would be at risk of falling at any time with the combination of the Conservatives and Bloc.

    2. And what is the land mass of the Government Buildings in Ottawa compared to the rest of Canada? Look how little area that takes to send the Nation into the abyss!!!

      1. There is a huge difference between Buddhists buying land in PEI and a federal government that passes laws and regulations that it can enforce at the point of a gun via the police, and the military if it so decides.

  8. Look, if you are going to call yourself a “Near-Arctic State” with the ambition of exploiting all the natural resources of the Arctic without legal access, you have to get creative. So, you do two things.

    1. You start settling perspective Port regions of those countries that do have legal claim to the Arctic resources.

    2. You inundate the economies of those Arctic claim States and create a negotiating factor that threatens to tank the economies of those states. This is already well under way in Norway and Finland. There is an aggressive attempt to do so in Canada as well (which happens to be connected to the tariff war between Canada and China).

Eventually, China gets a foothold in all these Arctic States via their exported goods, and threatens to hold those countries hostage financially unless they sign over drilling , mining and fishing rights to the CCP.

I’m not kidding about this. That is the long term goal of China.

  9. L – The Trump Administration knows this. It also knows America requires both a fortress North America and a formidable hemispheric defence to be secure. The foundation of which is both a healthy energy and manufacturing sector and thriving and healthy citizens; so that it is resilient enough to survive enemies, both foreign and domestic.

The MAHA movement, of which Robert Kennedy Jr. is its dedicated proponent, has begun that process. It’s been underway for a decade plus, but with official support should accelerate. The savings in medical costs alone, can make America, a viable project, again.

Trumps economic policy is to use the threat of tariffs to persuade foreign and domestic investment to finance the former, which he has succeeded promise wise. Though it will take 2-10 years to reach full potential. He’s almost the only national leader in the west governing with the future of his nation as his first priority. Knowing that it will likely that it may take longer than his lifetime for the full benefits to be evident. His risk to his health given the workload and the already two assassination attempts, his quest is born out of true patriotic love.

Gratitude for opportunity and sacrifice in the striving to live a moral,(in spite of being human and thus imperfect) is what built Western Civilization;( which we used to acknowledge as Christendom). Will it work, yet again? Maybe or maybe not. The future has always been the most difficult thing to predict, especially so in the short term.
